At times I may reminisce about one of the greatest cartoons of all my childhood. It may not have had the best production values and it may feature some, uh, questionable science and physics, but to this day the theme (first 1:10 of the video below) might be one of the most inspiring songs I can think of. Why, if you don't think of signing up for Sherwood's merry rocket men after hearing that, then you might just be immune to any and all recruitment efforts forever.

If you're a glutton for punishment, there are many whole episodes on YouTube >:D

*Sigh* We only had a B&W set back then... This was the good stuff, much better than Spiderman.
Thirty years ago, working way up in the bush between Thunder Bay and Sioux Lookout, you only had to sing the first line of the Rocket Robin Hood theme and the entire camp would join in... It was almost like living a scene out of Python.

Spiderman had it's own charm (I never got tired of watching old JJJ rant), but this and Hercules were the top of the tops to an eight year old like meself. In spite of the fact that even back then I knew the "physics" were dodgy! lol
As an adult, one of the wilder things I learned is that it turns out many of the episodes, including most of the later ones, were directed by none other than Ralph Bakshi.

Ooooh, that's a long song ...

:o oh man that makes my brain hurt... ::) there is willful suspension of disbelief and then there is pass the beer i am not drunk enough for this yet.
As for spider-man you ever notice his spider sense was invariably followed by some kind of immediate traumatic impact?...just sayin". lol

Interestingly, I've tried to find out who the composer was on that theme, but there's actually no record! The credits list only a company described as "Syncho Sound" and IMDB's only record of that company is on Rocket Robin Hood.
Baffling yet intriguing!
