Hello all,
Been fondly admiring the Red Box Games site. I love almost all of the miniatures, but all of my current stuff is Otherworld/Reaper/etc.
Is there a good link somewhere to show which models are suitable to work in a 28/32mm world, instead of the LOTR classic 25mm size? I see some "half giants" and I might get away with some dwarfs etc. Does anyone own enough to post some pics or give me a hint who I can get away with using?
Cheers in advance!

I would call them somewhat "truescale" 28mm as far as truescale goes in fantasy...
I use them in my norse mythology themed project mixed with historical figures amongs many.
I got no good size comparisson pictures Im afraid but you can find my collection of Red Box Games miniatures at:

The dwarves in perticulary are small compare to many other miniature makers and wont mix good with GW sized dwarves.

I find that RBG look very nice alongside Hasslefree and Otherworld figures, as well as most historicals. The bigger ranges, such as recent Reaper, do look rather larger, but it's really down to your own tolerances. I try to just buy what takes my fancy and try to remember that real people come in all shapes and sizes.
It works most of the time! :D

Yeah, I find my Otherworld dwarf to be about half the size/bulk of a GW one...so I was hoping maybe the Red Box ones would match well enough. Definitely looking for as much info as you guys can send my way. I really love a lot of the sculpts.
Some of them mention heights which is useful - many don't though.

I have quite a few RBG and other manufacturers do I could take a decent comparison photo. Sadly I'm not at home for two weeks. Found this one on my photobucket though RBG with otherworld orc.

Those look pretty reasonable...are both dwarfs from Red Box?
-
Yeah the one on the right is the first incarnation of Tre's dwarfs and the left hand dwarf is the current resized dwarfs.

Ah, okay. Well, regardless...I'll probably order a couple to give them a whirl. The price is a little eye-watering but I like the sculpts enough I may treat myself.

The older, "bigger" dwarfs are available from Hasslefree now.
So, if you're ordering directly from Red Box you will get the resized ones ;)
