Title: Midnight Workshop
Post by: Blofeld on 14 September 2014, 01:35:06 PM
Is there any background material for the characterful Midnight Workshop range?
They're lovely miniatures but they have an unusual look to them.
Thanks

B-)

Just the spiel on the shop page I believe. Think Scarlet Traces, Google it if you are not familiar with it, well worth getting a copy, if your not hung up about comic books :)

Now with the goblins it seems more Victorian Science Fantasy than Science Fiction, which I actually like!

Yeah the tiny bit of fluff does sound a lot like Scarlet Traces. I read it about ten years ago when they reprinted it in the Judge Dredd Megazine. I thoroughly recommend it. I'm off to dig it out now. :D

I think the miniatures would also go quite well with the background to Robert Rankins new-ish VSF books. The first one is called The Japanese Devil Fish Girl and Other Unnatural Attractions. It's a comical look at a post mars invasion victorian period.

Two different ranges. Midnight Workshop is the title of Mike's non historical stuff. The goblins, trolls etc are titled under Borderlands, the VSF type stuff are under FOG.

You folks need to include URL's for the Google-Fu challenged...

As the man said, click on FOG.

And, I agree, several ARE crackin'; I can figure my own backgrounds!  ;)

I think several are new to the list, and I should have been watching. Thanks for the reminder!
