A project several decades in the making. The gondolas are GW dwarf copters purchased in the 90s. The pilots are motorcycle cops from RAFMs CoC line also purchased in the 90s. The gasbags are Dollar Store submarines. Acouple of cross country moves caused the pieces to be put in storage and I only recently found them. Just finished and I couldn't wait to post.

Some closeups of the components of the Neffs. I went with yellow for the gasbags based on some colourised post cards of french lighter than aircraft from the belle epoque.

Fine.
Fantastic work

Good job! I like the use of the old Dwarf gyro-copters.

What a splendid idea :D
-
Very well done - love the air bags :D
-
Brilliant!
The subs are inspired!
I will say that at first, I thought the 'gondola' were Ral Partha Europe Dwarf Ornithopters. Similar, and still in production.

Edit: Almost forgot to suggest you post to the sticky; I'd suggest a link to this thread, and a single piccie to sell it. :D

Nice work. I enjoy your posts. I have quick question. Are you using the Alamo for your background?
-
Thanks for the kind words gentlemen! The gas bags were alot of fun to paint, broad brush strokes and no little fiddly bits. I forgot to mention the gatling guns are Ral Partha from their historic colonial line. The background is the Alamo or rather a heavy resin bookend version. I use as a set in most things I post to the forum. I'll try and post a pic and link to the all things airbourne thread. It was nice to have a project actually get finished.
