Is this a TV show or movie?  I have never heard of it...

It's a movie (1983), with a dashing Tommy Lee Jones in his prime, Michael O'Keefe and the lovely Jenny Seagrove.  It's also known as 'Savage Islands' in the UK.  I thought it was a hoot!
