After some days surfing on internet to find some cheap arab houses for my board, I'm a little bored :-[
The only way to have cheaper buildings is to scratchbuild them, but I don't like to create buildings or scenery. At least I could paint them.
Gradmanner buildings are superb, but still too expensive for me (considering that I must pay £17.00 for shipping too).
I considered some Sally 4th buildings too, but after some surfing I found the Abbiati Wargames buildings, cheaper and with removable roof.
However still about 11-17 euro for each house (I still don't like to spend my money for scenery, while is not a problem for miniatures :-X ).

small arab house € 10,45

medium arab house € 15,68

large arab house € 16,72
What do you think? I'm considering to buy 4 small, 1 medium and 1 large houses. Sure if you can suggest some better choice I will happy to consider it :)

Cheap, stop-gap terrain is ok if you need to get gaming now and have spent your cash on minis. Totally understand how that happens. 8)
But spending time and effort or money on some decent terrain is a sound investment that will reward your hobby fun. It's hard to beat a beautiful table.
Once you find a line of terrain you like, plan to buy several pieces every few months. Figure out how to make the best use of postage costs. Do this for a year, or until your plan has run its course. It means no minis that year. Work from your lead-pile...

You could try Battlefield Buildings (ex PMC range?) from Caliver.
Pre-painted or unpainted, and post-free if you order a few.

Somebody know this company and have yet bought something?

I'll start by saying that I am very proud to be associated with Grand Manner - having sculpted some of the masters that Dave has cast in resin.
However, I thought this like may help with your enquiry;

Had you a look at this thread? http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=62533.0
Excellent example how easy it is to build some good looking (not as good as some resin buildings, but it isn't eating all your budget either) houses.

I'm not writing this because we make Adobe buildings but because I have been on many holidays to North Africa and have taken many photos of these square buildings and the key feature is that they pretty much all have external staircases up to the roof, which is a key part of the building where they will dry fruit, nuts and laundry, eat and often sleep when it is very hot. So that is a key feature missing on Abbiati buildings. Its also good in games to have a way up on to the roofs. Their are many fine models out their in both resin and MDF.
Your post did also make me go and check my website, because of course our roofs are removable and we have nice interior room detail, but I have not got a photo of that on any products, so will need to get the camera out. In the meantime this is a photo from one of our Pulp Alley games with roof off.

Thanks for all the precious advices :)
I need some greek/ancient building, so my first choice was the superb ancient buildings and maybe temple from grandmanner, however I should spend much of my hobby budget for buy them :( (and I've yet spent more than 300 euro in miniatures this month). I noticed that arab buildings have strong similarities with ancient buildings so I considered them. I could use these buildings for future arab boards and my pulp african/greek amazon forgotten city too.
What is the material used for the scratchbuild arab buildings done from matakishi?
