Title: Seventies street/shops Decals
Post by: orm1 on 10 October 2014, 12:38:38 PM
Does anyone make decals (28mm) suitable for shops, road signs etc for a British town set in the 1970s?

Photoshop real frontages, or produce them via word (different fonts) or cut them out from the background of pictures in colour magazines/brochures etc.
Catalogues (such as SrewFix) contain images of safety signs, as does any guide to the Highway code.
I make up 'mood boards' of posters/signs & signage, then photocopy them (reducing if needed)

If you need any inspiration then LAF's own Overlord designed some resin frontages that are sold by Outpost Wargames.

Originals are shown in this amazing thread…

Check out Hornby railways for old road signs.
