In the spirit of finishing off a project, I also painted up some of the 54mm plastics that I had bought for fun...not quite sure what I'm going to do with these, but they were very enjoyable to paint!
These are by CTS (Classic Toy Soldiers) and are marginally taller than the Airfix British 8th Army who I have to oppose them.
Here's the Italian NCO being rounded up by a couple of plucky Brits. A few extra mm doesn't seem to put them off!

I also sprayed up a few spares for my 4 year old daughter to paint up. She started with her usual multicoloured paint job with all her favourite colours (cf Italian on the left), but then decided to have a go at copying Daddy and used the various khaki paints I had got out (although the British officer's blue revolver is entirely her her own concept!) Give her a year or two and I think she'll be able to start selling as 'pro painted' on eBay. :D

I know what you can do. Squad size skirmish in 54 mm. 8 to 12 miniatures per side. ;)

I play Operation Squad in 28mm but have always thought it would be a very easy conversion to 54mm.

Eek! Don't encourage me. :) Someone mentioned Normandy Firefight, anyone played it?
