Title: Some figure comparison shots
Post by: Verderer on August 29, 2008, 02:09:14 PM
I took these hasty shots of the figs I have bought recently: please note that the minis aren't very scientifically aligned. To get a proper idea of their proportions, you need to consider the angle of the photo, the relative positions of the figs, the height of the bases, etc. Hard to get a really accurate picture like that without lots of work. But I hope these help anyways.

The first pic is the great roundup with two minis from each range. Hope this isn't too wide for your? The lines are just to give some reference point for comparison. As you can see, the figs aren't perfectly aligned.

A smaller pic (hopefully no horizontal scrolling required?) with only one from each range.

I think the fairer sex deserve their own pic, right?

Whalebone corsets do wonders ;)

....and the menfolk are really tall - no slotta bases and they still dwarf everyone else.

Not a problem though, as I like a good variation in height with my figures. Artizan and old Foundry are quite happy to die next to each other  :)

Great photos, thanks for posting!

Actually, I don't think the Blue Moon figs are too tall on average. Note that I placed a piece of styrene under the Blue Moon figs to raise them up a bit, so that the bases of their feet were more or less flush with other figs which are on slotta bases. And also note that the left side Blue Moon fig was tallest of the bunch I got, a real giant. If you compare it with the other BM fig, you'll notice a clear difference. There is a lot of height variation among the Blue moon Figs, just like you get with real people. I got the civilians and one blister of 2 gun fighters, so I don't know how far reaching conclusions I can draw on basis of them. I'd say they go really well with Artizan et al.

Ah yes,  I see it now.

Either way, they are good-looking figures and will fit in with my other Westerners  :D

Yeah, sorry about not clarifying that in the first place.

I like Blue Moon figs a lot too, especially the townspeople pack. It's really good times for Old West players right now, I only wish there was more 28mm Indians available...

Well, she´s obviously an accurate deptiction of the archetypal "schwindsüchtige Hure mit Herz" (consumption-afflicted whore with a heart of gold - alright, it loses the hell of it in translation).

That´s a rather comprehensive pic. Thanks a lot.

.... "schwindsüchtige Hure mit Herz" ...

Sounds like a Rammstein song title  lol
