After waiting for some time to get my Kickstarter Wargods of Olympus Trojans, I am now happily working on the little army I had pledged for.
Here is the first unit of spearmen. Over the time I will post pics of the other units.
As usual I painted them using Army Painter Dark Tone and depending on the light they look more greyish (what I like best) or bluish.....
I hope You enjoy, cheers Thomas
-
Wow nice! Will make a lovely army...
-
They do look pretty cool.
-
Awsome.

Very nice, what is next on the list?

Very nice paint jobs .

Very nice, I am looking Forward to my Wargods pledge...

The next will be a nearly finished unit of archers followed by more spearmen.
cheers Thomas

Here is my second unit, the archers.

I really like the muted colours you've used. Look forward to seeing more.
-
Fantastic work! ;) :-*
-
Gorgeous! I love them!
-
The next 2 rows of the spearmen unit are finished, with some luck I shall have the Patience to do the last 2 rows as well.
These sculpts really have a lot of Details!
Please have a look, cheers Thomas
-
You have done a fine job with all of these figures.
:-* :-*
I have a plan for a Greek OGAM force project next year and you have done a fine job of selling this range to me.
:D
-
The miniatures are really beautifull Thomas. :-* :-* :-*
You did a great painting job on them.
-
Amazing work, they look fantastic :-*
-
Love the colour scheme, nice work on those.
-
Nice work :)
-
Great work, I love the muted palette and subtle metal work.
Is there any news on when the Trojans will become available through the shop?
-
Hi, as the Crocs are late by a bit more than a year now, I think it'll take a long time until these models are officially released :( :(
Plan for official release was, together with the rulebook July this year if I remember right. Hopefully Summer next year :)
cheers Thomas
-
After some time I have finally managed to finish the Trojan leader Aeneas and his honor guards.
I really love the elaborate sculpts used for the whole Trojan release, but have a look yourself:

Very nice indeed :-* :-*

These really look great, I agree about the muted color-scheme, it gives them a nice, realistic look. Super job!
-
Great work! :-*
-
Love these miniatures.Your painting has really brought them to life.Looking forward to getting my KS pieces too.Just upped my pledge by adding a couple more units to it.
-
Very, very nice. Kinda wish I'd jumped on the KS but realistically they would just be another tier to the lead mountain.
-
These figures would make excellent alternative High Elves. Love 'em!
-
Thomas, sculping is indeed very good but your painting is superb. :-* :-*
-
Brilliant colour scheme. It works really well! Great paint job too! The sculpts look as though they paint up really nicely - by that I mean they look like they are a joy to paint.
-
Thanks guys for your kind comments :)
Being back from a trip to meet family and friends I have resumed painting Trojans :)
The 5th and 6th row of the phalanx are finished and the peltasts are in progress.
For now I can show the demigod of Poseidon, as Poseidon is the god of horses I thought it a good idea to have the color scheme similar to the Trojans.
cheers Thomas
-
Hi, here are the Peltasts and a close shot of the archers.
The next unit to are the Swordsmen including their converted command.

Those are SO good!! :o :o
-
Thank you Andy,
yes it is a absolute pleasure to paint the minis, high quality castings and a lot of Details :) :)
While waiting for my Crocodile Games Amazons to be delivered I am working on Spartans these days. However these minis do not have the usually high casting Quality! Maybe I have got castings from worn out molds....
Stay tuned the swordmen unit just needs the finishing touches to their bases ;)
-
They look great :-* :-*
I thought Poseidon was the sea god ???
cheers

I learnt something new - known as Earth-Shaker and has been called the "tamer of horses".
-
Jack of all trades then :D
cheers
James
-
So and here they are, the swordsmen :)
This was the last unit of my little Trojan army to be painted.
Taking encouragement from my LAF friend Rui I even did a little conversion work on the command group.
Thanks Rui I am really happy with them ;)
cheers Thomas
-
Lovely work again 8)
Group shot time?
cheers
James
-
Thomas, great painting. :-* :-*
The standard bearer was the conversion ?
-
Hi Rui,
the trumpeter and the standard are converted. I used normal swordmen minis and changed the arms.
The original ones you can see in the spear unit.
These days I am working on an army standard bearer, just a nice top for the pole is missing.
And yes James, when he is finished a group shot will be a good idea 😉.
Cheers Thomas
-
Simple conversions but very efective.
Keep them coming Thomas.
-
Great additions.
:-*
And a big: 'Yes, Please!' to the group shot.
:D
-
Sers Thomas,
I already told you, but now again here in the forum.
The miniatures are really good painted and I'm a little jealous of yours paintingskill and as well as your speed for paint.
I´m looking forward to the group shot.

Really cool colour scheme - great job! :D
-
Hi, now that I have finished my army standard bearer I made a few group shots.
The army is finished now and sooner or later she will hit the battle field ;-)
They look a bit blurred, just click on the pics for full view and better quality ;-)
cheers Thomas
-
Fantastic seeing them all together.
-
They're looking good. Colour is lost in the setting (too similar).
-
Thanks you are right, I usually take a lot of shots with different lighting and later select the best ones. This time even these best ones needed a bit of manual correction. I hope they look better now.
cheers Thomas
-
Much better and shows off that blue now.
-
Brilliant work Powerfrog!!! :-*
Are you actually playing 'Wargods of Olympus' or using another rules set?
-
Actually I'd like to try out the Wargods rules, but in our group nobody is really interested (too lazy) I think.
So I play either WHFB using a mixture of army lists Heru-High Elves, Asar-Empire, Sebecki-Oger, Khemru-Skaven or the WAB New Kingdom Egypt list from Chariot Wars supplement.
This works pretty will although the Harbinger rules are lost in these games.
Recently I battled against Skaven and Khemri, one won and one lost...
Cheers Thomas
P.S. Pics of the Skaven game you can find in,my gallery here on LAF.
-
That is one VERY nice army.
The colours fit the dry landscape beautifully!
