Hey lads,
I'm trying to find suitable 28mm female warriors to use as shieldmaidens for SAGA. Any thoughts?

You might find what you want in this discussion of the same subject a few months ago:

I don't know of any significant additions since then.

Celtos.

For Vikings? Foundry!

Yeah, I would say Foundry--although I painted mine up as Valkyries as I find the concept of Shield Maidens dubious outside of the History channel despite the recent archaeology ;) My girlfriend loves the idea, however, and that's why she watches the show with me, so kudos to History for marketing the show to a modern audience...

Shadowforge has a selection of not-too-historically dressed shieldmaidens, available from Eureka:

Thanks everyone for the input!

I second the Shadowforge range, some are more modestly dressed than others but they fit in well with most historical ranges as they are true 28mm and not heroically over the top.
