Some WIP photos first - base figures are Armies In Plastic Cossacks for mounted and Toy Soldiers of San Diego WWII Germans and US for dismounted versions. Oops all too big - will upload them to DropBox or PhotoBucket.
-
Where did they go ?....am curious to see these
-
Oops - nowhere yet! I haven't managed to get them uploaded yet. Will try to get it done today - and thanks for the interest.

This is the REVISED AGAIN to a Photobucket link which seems to work OK!!! So please drop Dropbox and accept my aplogies for all the messing about!
There are a lot of photos, 78, both of WIP, showing the conversions, and painted. This is because some of them will be used to illustrate an article in Toy Soldier Collector magazine at some point. Just click through to find any that might be of interest...
Here's a taster of the mounted standard bearer.

Good job. I like blogging! But I would like more photos.
And this topic is rather refers to the First World War...
-
Thanks Cuprum...but you have me confused.
I didn't mention WWI in the heading? They are intended for between-wars BoB shenanigans and late Colonial...
And you say you'd like 'more' photos - the 70 odd on the Dropbox link aren't enough??? Sorry but that is all I have of these conversions!
OOps again - the link isnt working properly! Sorry - I will try to sort it out.
-
Strange - I have the link opens only one photo
-
OK lets try again - forget Dropbox and try Photobucket!!!!

Now I see the photos!
Excellent work on the conversion of figures, Mike!

Well worth the wait now that I can see them - excellent work and great conversions - Out of interest how many hours do you think it took you to get these results ? Am sure they will make one mightily impressive looking game
-
Thanks for the kind words, gents.
I haven't got time-sheets on them, and I am usually working on a couple (sometimes more!) projects at a time so it is difficult to say. I ought to do a check on just how long a conversion like that takes just to see - but it might put me off the whole thing! ;)
My edge is that I am recycled (retired from FT employment but busy writing) and so I can spend a day, 2 days, a week full time on my hobby. Actually I think I enjoy the modelling more than the gaming...
FWIW Just realised that the link also gives access to other albums of conversions and games too - probably the only other one of interest here is one of some Tatars I did for our Boxer Uprising games
