Post by: maxxon on 14 November 2014, 07:22:34 AM
The November batch is done!

This time it is a band of brave Apache warriors.

They are all old Foundry models I dug up from my archives and tested my new Foundry flesh palette on.

Next month we continue in the same vein... but perhaps not quite the way you might expect.

These look great; nice muted tones, a few bright spots to catch the eye and some unique basing. I like them.

Now that is a dangerous-looking band of marauding malcontents! Good job!

I've always liked the figure in the plug hat shooting the pistol (in the bottom left photo). Looks like some of the scouts from CS Fly's photographs of the Geronimo campaign.

Looking good, sir.
I need to get a few different styles of headgear going on in my own band.

Thanks.

Ironically, I think this batch was a bit too large to do in one go. The way that manifests is that by the time I get to detailing, I just want to get them done and don't really put effort in individual figures.

I had planned to do different colors of hats, but by the time I was doing the hats I just tought "#&% it, black felt is always in fashion."
