Hi all,
I'm working on this great 5th edition Bretonian model for my warhammer/historical army and I can't figure out how to paint his "head dress"
(http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k285/csabick/51D5C2F6-D064-4250-816D-EB2AA8E47125_zpsdv5d4avv.jpg) (http://s91.photobucket.com/user/csabick/media/51D5C2F6-D064-4250-816D-EB2AA8E47125_zpsdv5d4avv.jpg.html)
What color should the "arms" be? the same as his cloth helmet covering?
And what should the feathers look like? I know I've seen images of this style of helm before but I'll be damned if I can find them now! >:(
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Blue

This one from Gripping Beast is good too.

google "Zimier" or "helmzier", these are german heraldic terms for what You search, preferably in image mode

Also good choice to use the same colors you have used on the cloth plus perhaps third additional color.
Here's wiki article about heraldic tincture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tincture_(heraldry)
And wiki article about coat of arms (more links in the article): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms
About the crest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crest_(heraldry)

Since you've already used light green and a salmon colour I'd go for white and black feathers on a metal frame (Or or Argent)
