I finally came around to take some sensible pictures of my Iberian Scutati. Early works they are, but they sure add some colour to any Carthaginian army. As always you find more pictures, historical considerations and some painting advise on my
Blog (http://daggerandbrush.wordpress.com/2014/11/23/iberian-scutati-esteemed-to-be-the-most-warlike-barbarians-that-now-are/).

Very nice painting and basing! :)

Lovely and colourful. Mediterranean pines in the background are ace!

Thank you. Much obliged. I intend to update the pines in some point and fashion them with a proper bark texture and also use more foliage net. I think they need to be slightly denser.

Those Spaniards are great! Real splash of colour and enough variation to make them look varied without looking completely disjointed. Top job :D

Splendid. I like especially the elephants. :-*

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. I really wanted the shields to stand out, while the actual Scutati are a bit more similar. The elephants in the background will be featured in a future post. I still have to finish two with towers, so I'll wait till those are finished and make soem more pictures.
