James
-
yes yes and yes.
more Roman to complete my project ! ;D
The vestale is :-*
We need more !
-
Very interesting, thanks. :)
-
The Vestal is a particularly adaptable figure for many different eras, or for fantasy.
-
What range are these from. Also what's planned for the future. These are very nice figures, would definitely buy. THE CID.
-
:-* :-* :-*
A must have for sure. :D
-
What range are these from.
From a range i had in mind ages ago and just managed to get a sculptor to have a go at them.
Also what's planned for the future
Its a bit of a confusing list at the moment, from Slaves to Merchants and Thugs to Nobles, Military types and the such , here's a few sketches i got back as a taster.
Female Brothel Keeper
(http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w470/BOFStudio/07FemaleBrothelKeeper_zps6e05ab4a.png) (http://s1077.photobucket.com/user/BOFStudio/media/07FemaleBrothelKeeper_zps6e05ab4a.png.html)
Underworld Boss

Young Priest
(http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w470/BOFStudio/01Priest_zps1ed0bdea.png) (http://s1077.photobucket.com/user/BOFStudio/media/01Priest_zps1ed0bdea.png.html)
Hope you like them
-
:-*
-
Aaarghh :o :-*
Looking at the nice new Carthaginians from Agema Miniatures I was just thinking that I could well be tempted by some RPG-inspired skirmish games in this period if I had more civilians... and you plan to do all this!
The vestal could certainly pass as the (fictional) character of Salammbô...
-

Yes, we certainly do. Any idea when they are going to be available?
btw, who is the sculptor?
-
Very nice, maybe we could have a couple of retired centurions to cause havoc. In the future a gladiator rebellion. THE CID.
-
Very nice - I would certainly buy them.
-
Agreed - beautiful figures!! :-*
I think a range along the types you have mentioned will go very well.
-
Yup.
More civilians would be welcome.
Some street gang thugs armed with swords, daggers and clubs would be nice too.
-
Be interested to see how these size up with Agema miniatures and the more proportioned figures as Foundry's civilians are abit chunky for my taste and these look great!
-
I am planning to build an arena for my gladiators. The more Roman civillians out there the better. Deffinately looking forward to seeing these to help populate the stands.
-
They are stunning 8) :-*
-
I like where your heading with this.
-
We never have enough roman civilians and these ones are awesome. Should they be released soon ? Will you cast and sell them ?
-
Hi all,
just had the finished pics from the sculptor for the two, thought i would share
(http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w470/BOFStudio/Senator00_zps873adbe1.jpg) (http://s1077.photobucket.com/user/BOFStudio/media/Senator00_zps873adbe1.jpg.html)
(http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/w470/BOFStudio/Vestal00_zps002d272c.jpg) (http://s1077.photobucket.com/user/BOFStudio/media/Vestal00_zps002d272c.jpg.html)
also given the nod for the next three pieces.
1 )Roman General. His helmet carried under his arm as he looks with a smile at the ladies and a wink to his men. A proud and capable leader. His cloak over his back.
2) Imperial Princess. Born into wealth and power and not afraid to show it in public and private. Fine dresses and silks with gold to show her position and wealth.
3) Brothel Keeper, which you've seen the artwork for :)
The two finished will be going into a mould around late January. Gang types are to follow after the other three.
-
Very nice

Excellent!

Most excellent!

I am working on Wargods of Olympus currently and will have a close meeting with those Victrux Cathaginians ;)

Those castings do justice to the sculpts. Looking forward to more such characters.
-
Wow, completely missed this thread. :o
Excellent work you're showing here. Very nice historical-ish characters, a great addition to any Rome-inspired game for sure. Any guess, if, when and where they may be available for purchase?
-
Those are fabulous. They'd work wonders in a faction for Song of Shadows and Dust!

Speaking of which, did you get Sayara to do those concept art designs by any chance....?

Yes she did and was a pleasure to work with :) It was Song of Shadows and Dust that inspired me to ask her to work on the concepts i gave her :)
-
She is very good to work with. I'm delighted she got more work as a result of SSD! :)

You could add a model of the "Irritable Mule."

Lovelly. :-* :-*
Yep, i want them too for my roman gangs project. :)
-
Wonderful! :o
-
How can we buy a set of these?
-
if you are selling I would like to buy some
-
Andy W. as a fellow marxist can I just say I adore your photo. If you ever sculpt and produce Marx Brothers miniatures please understand I will buy bucket loads.
Could I possibly suggest (IF you are keen on ideas) that you sculpt 2-3 sitting senate bodies, with neck sockets and 3-4 heads, it means you could fill a senate with essentially the same set of figures but mishmash heads & positions. I love your sculpt style so its just an idea.
-
Very nice
-
Minis arrived safe and sound, many thanks. They are great :-*
