Title: Star Gates
Post by: Eric the Shed on 05 December 2014, 03:10:00 PM
Hi Folks

Does anybody know of a UK stockist who sells something that looks remotely like a Star Gate or am I going to have to make one myself?

Monolith used to, but I can't find it in their catalog.

Someone else used to make "coasters" which featured a design around the edge and there was a "water" insert for them.

You don't like the figures dewback? The SG1 teamed looked alright, Samantha was recognisable. I shouldn't have seen those Gould though, now I've a hankering for battling hawk warriors. :(

Cheers
Matt.

If you know someone with a 3D printer you can get one printed like I did - See here http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:87691

I had my friend print it in gray plastic and it looks awesome. I will try to post a pic later

Eric contact me through the Monolith site email - the Gate was never on site, but I do have a few castings, as well as sarcophagi from the film and TV show, as well as the cover stone from the film

Nope, they tried for more realistic proportions but it didn't really work. Also, they were too small to mix with any other modern ranges.

you can find a nice paper model or two out there. Before I had one 3-d printed I had tried several paper models. There is a particularly nice one at the following paper model site

http://www.papermodelers.com/

Register and then search downloads for Stargate SG-1 - Milkyway Gate
