Those look great! :-* :-* :-*

Fantastic! Seeing these always brings me back to reading the Chronicles magazine and desperately wanting to play Chronopia :)
-
Very nice.
I need to really get my Chronopia project rolling next year.
-
Chronopia is one of those games that I have only heard of with no idea what it was all about. The minis are BEAUTIFUL with some WONDERFUL brushwork & basing that only makes them more so. It may have taken awhile, but they do look SPLENDID. VERY WELL DONE!
-
well done
-
My favorite game. I try to play it every week. :)
-
Thanks for the kind words!
Chronopia is one of my favorite games of all time!
Check these pics I painted up about 10 years ago

I forgot to post earlier how great that painting is!! I've got a match this week, but none of my forces are painted as lovely as those. I'll try to take some pics anyway.
So glad I got some models from Four A to use as proxies for my Dwarves!
-
Lovely, to see these old minis still motivate to paint them :) :)
-
That's another proof that Chronopia or Warzone ranges were underestimated. With a pro painting like you did, the figures are FANTASTIC !
the only "issue" is the fat rounded lip base :D That's just a matter of personal taste, the basing itself is very well done.
-
Not to party crash but here are a couple of mine that where finished recently. I have heard mixed reviews on these figures but I think they are awesome painted well.

For Chronopia and Warzone, I like Chronopia more.
Too bad they never get resurrected.
Welcome Barganrecon
Your dwarves rock. :-*
Although I prefer Dark Tusk Clan, especially the left one.

I didn't recognize some of your collection, are they from Chronopia?
-
Your stuff is fantastic and yes they are all from Chronopia. The green ones are Blood bones and the Red are Vulture Clan. The ones with Hammers are converted Tunnel Fighters that where done by Excelsior. The Red one with the sword and crossbow is from Four A minatures. The rest are standard models. I have some Dark tusk done as well if you want to see them.
I have managed to hunt down most of the lines and will be painting them up for a while.
-
Yes, thanks!
I would like to see more your painted Chronopia miniatures, please post more.
-
WOW! This topic is full of epic paintjobs and pictures. More! :D
-
These dwarfs are really great ! Please post more pics of other armies if available !
-
COOL STUFF! The figures of various types are FANTASTIC, but, with paint jobs as BEAUTIFUL as these, even minis of a lesser quality would look WONDERFUL.
-
Here are a few more Chronopia pics, you can see all my collection to date at the link bellow. Come by and visit I would love to chat with anyone who still enjoys Chronopia

Very colourful and nice, these miniatures of yours. It's a pity they don't produce them anymore, I would have like to put my hands on many references.
-
Hi!
Absolutely amazing work on those sculpts! Chronopia is a fantastic setting and the game, races and miniatures range that went with them deserve to be kept alive and you're doing a fine job doing so with all these beautiful paintjobs!

What are these guys called? They are bitchin' way cool! :D
-
Those are ogre elite guard. they where sculpted by a talented Italian sculptor named Francesco. He has an online store called Ghamak.com but currently it is being redone. You can also get these from his Ebay store as well. Here is a link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Orgre-warrior-chaos-elite-trooper-miniature-sword-war-3-/200473509129?hash=item2ead26fd09 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Orgre-warrior-chaos-elite-trooper-miniature-sword-war-3-/200473509129?hash=item2ead26fd09)
As you can see he did make some changes to the models since the picture in the Ebay store was taken and they are made of Resin.

Are the trolls some proxies, or late official models ? I think they are better than the original one I know.
Great work on all the figures. You really make the chronopia range shine !
-
They are unofficial 3rd party models once again from Ghamak. They are very well done and very large. Here is a picture of the Trolls and Ogres together.
Here is a picture for scale.

As for the painting they are quit spectacular and as much as I would like to take credit these where painted by a friend of mine who does contract painting an if you ever need figures painted he is worth the cost and great to work with. Between him and I we will be painting up the entire line of Chronopia figures.

Wow, really nice Warzone army too ! :-*
Your 2 armies are really well painted. I also have tons (litteraly) of warzone v1 minis, and a few incomplete Chronopia warbands (devouts and stygian), waiting for some paint !
Concerning the warzone army, do you have any detailed pics somewhere ? Especially the v1 necromutants ;)
edit : concerning chronopia, I just saw the orcs on this pic :
the trolls are really huge :o, since the chronopia orcs are already quite tall !
-
Yes the size is actually a correct scale for what they should have been. The line as a whole had very interesting figures and with a little love they look outstanding. The fact you can pick them up relatively inexpensive and the rules where great gives them a nice appeal.
The same goes for a the Warzone figures I also own/owned a Mishima army. Some people saw a figure over sized with not much detail I saw them a clean design and a canvas for creativity. They really lended themselves well to painting. The new ones look really good but I think they have too much detail and went too far for the realistic look.
-
I also prefer "simple" designed figures. Modern 28mm figures (not speaking of a particular brand) often have some kind of "increment" in details and dynamic poses, finally making them look a bit "too much" for my own taste.
It's why in 25-28MM scale, I prefer old school (oldies or "humble" modern ranges) 25 or 28mm figures, usually.
For chronopia, I've got a good warband of stygian figures. Like the point of view Chronopia had with orcs, Stygians are a very original vision of fantasy lizardmen. The only issue is that some individual references became hard to find.
-
Oh the memories! 8)
-
People usually understand "detailed" miniatures as "stupid amount of little tiny details which are a nightmare to paint".
