Here the Tzeentch Champion for my Realm of Chaos warband.
I chose the 1994 Aekold Helbrass miniature, and will add three 1994 Dark Elves Black Guards as his initial retinue.
I tried to paint it with an old school paint scheme.
My name is Moserath from the House Uthorin.
I was destined to become a member of the feared and respected black guard at the service of our Witch King Malekith.
But the Lord of Fate, Tzeentch, had planned a different destiny for me.
Now I follow the path that HE showed to me.
Follow a GOD whose gifts are generous is far greater reward than only be the servant of a mortal King.
The Beginning: Moserath was an aspiring Black Guard of the Dark Elves.
During his training, he received the call of Tzeentch come from the realms of chaos over the watchtowers.
Before completing the bloody ritual that would make him a black guard, he betrayed his oath to the Witch King.
Three fellow black guard trainees joined him.
Moserath the Guard of Change, Champion of Tzeentch,
also know from the dark elves as "the Black Guard Renegade"

The Old Chaos Boy painted up SPLENDIDLY...GREAT brushwork & COOL color choices. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Thanks, here the first of the Black Guards, I tried to use the original paint scheme of a citadel Tzeentch Warrior I've seen in a eavy metal page (the second picture):
-
Great stuff. Really like the way your handling the the metallics on these minis !!
-
That's lovely, great old scool paintwork. It seems to me I'm browsing through an older White Dwarf :)
-
That really is just fantastic. :-*
I have never been a fan of those figures, they just seem too chunky to me, but your paintjob has totally changed the look and feel of them. Absolutley wonderful.
I concur with the Prof. - total Golden Age 'Eavy Metal there.
-
SPECTACULAR! The brushwork is LOVELY & the colors almost glow...even the McVey style base looks WONDERFUL. VERY WELL DONE once more!
-
:-* lots of love.
-
Great work! Love it. Looking forward to seeing more.
-
Brilliant! I love the hell brass figure!
-
Aekold Helbrass was one of the first minis I ever painted! Lovely stuff!

:-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Thanks, I've included the background of the champion in the first post ;)
-
Here another Black Guard (click above the picture for a bigger and nicer image) ;)
I used the paint scheme of a tzeentch knight from the eavy metal team (the second picture).
-
That retro basing is excellent, getting flashbacks to high school. What a great idea to use authentic 'Eavy Metal colour schemes in such a way.
-
Impressive painting on these. Don't care much for the bases, but the rest is awesome. I'm looking forward to see the warband grow.
-
Here the last Black Guard, now the tzeentch warband is complete and ready for a campaign ;)
-
The Technicolor Evil Doers just keep getting COOLER & FLASHIER with each addition. VERY WELL DONE once more!
-
Superb. Particularly like the blue/yellow heavy one. :o
-
great brushwork 8)

There are two things I love about these:
1. You have picked a really striking color palette and have made each one unique while at the same time tying them together by way of their bright variations of color rather than a single unifying color.
2. By mixing non-traditionally paired miniatures, you have created your own story. Very Epic Heroes of you! :D
Great stuff! :-*

I had forgotten how bright these figures where. Thank you for the great paintwork and bringing back the memories.

Excellent work!

A Tzeentch Sorcerer with Tzeentch Disc join the dark elf warband ;) :
I tried to use an old eavy metal paint scheme, I've included the original picture too.
-
You have captured that old paintjob very nicely :-*
-
Thanks :D
Another picture of the same model but with different side, what picture is better? The old one or the new one? :?
-
Great job on classic model.
-
Nicely done!
I'd say the second photo is clearer and cleaner, even though the pose is a bit more static from that angle.
-
I like the first picture the best. In any case great work on you painting your guys looks better than the original paintjobs in white dwarf!
-
I'm loving this thread! Great job on the sorceror! :-* :-* :-*
-
How did I miss this one!? So supercool! Love what you're doing with these man!!
-
They look great! I'm particularly fond of the helmet on your latest model.
-
Really great project. i'm admiring people who dare using bright colors, and obtain such a great result.
One day, i'll stop being a muted tones and brown paint coward :D
-
Here a Cold One Rider join the warband (a Dark Elf Chaos Knight), now the warband is complete (for now). 9 models, the sacred number of Tzeentch ;)
-
VERY WELL DONE! That is the first blue Cold One I've seen; it's such a SPLENDID color I'm surprised I haven't seen it done that way before. The rest of the brushwork & color selection is of equal BRILLIANCE.
-
Wow. Excellent complete warband. Love the chaotic colour scheme. :-*
-
Here two more miniatures I painted, a flamer and another darl elf:
-
The Flamer & Pointy Eared One are WONDERFULLY colorful additions to your Band. VERY WELL DONE!
-
A dark elf wizard and dark elf warrior join the warband:
-
Lovely job on the latest additions. I've always really liked that wizard model. :D
-
A Dark Elf Sorceress join the warband.
I'm using a new digital camera (usually I do my photos with an old digital camera from about 10 years ago, but I finished the batteries) with a new background but I'm not fully satisfied.
It's harder to do a photo that really show the real appearance of the miniatures. I yet tried several times.
Probably the better picture, near to the original is the first one, but it too smaller. Maybe I will try again to make a better photo, meanwhile here three photos
-
She is a BEAUTY. Your brushwork & choice of colors are up to your OH-SO-HIGH standards. VERY WELL DONE!
-
Here finally another photo done with my old camera.
