Cracking stuff.
It looks a bit like my back garden today - less Burgundians here though ;)
-
Excellent painting and groupings. Love the command figure.
-
Like the look of this army and table for a number of reasons.
-
Thank you all for your comments. I have also painted the Lorrainer/Swiss army but I need to take better pictures of that one.
-
Beautiful! I especially like the extras in the cavalry units, like the coustilliers in the second rank and the lance-holder running alongside his master.
-
Fabulous! And here I thought that I was fanatically devoted to painting up miniatures to play a single battle (Hastings). You, sir, are a madman. Charles' polyglot army was probably that pretty, just before they ran away.
Have you ever won "Nancy"? Curious to know....
-
All I am seeing is black boxes with nothing in them. :(
-
Stunning looking army !
Like the snow bases and terrain, fels nordic to me;)
-
Now I can see them.... :-*

Not in the classic plan of Charles but I have tried some "what if" where the Burgundians won (without the flank attack of the Swiss).
Thank you very much all. I am fond of this battle because I am from Nancy, from the club "Les loups du Téméraire" which means "the bold´s wolves" : those who ate Charles ;D.

How many times have you played out "what ifs"? Curiousier to know! (I've played out Hastings well over two-dozen times.)
Without the flank attack by the Swiss, do you have them advance up the valley into the face of the artillery and shot?...
-
I've played the battle 6 times with two "what ifs" : the Burgundians have won two times, with reinforcement and if the Swiss come from the front (there is no real valley in this place but Charles'army is déployed between the wood of Saurupt and the river Meurthe). And yes, Charles can win with the artillery and the longbowmen and with his "fortified" deployement.

I'm also getting the little black boxes. :?

The pics are an off and on thing. Last time I saw black boxes too, but this morning the pics are displaying just fine....
