Post by: Counterpane on January 02, 2015, 04:49:00 PM
The first episode of my 1930s Pulp Alley campaign was played over the New Year holiday. You can see some pictures here:

Yes, I had fun with the names.  From memory there are at least four different sources of names in the game.  A fully non-negotiable kudos point is available for each source you can name.

What a great game, looking forward to seeing more. Really enjoyed your report. As to the great names, aside from Dr. Who I got the Genesis reference:

and Harold Demure, from Art Literature,
nips up the nearest tree.

And his friend, Liquid Len by name,
of Wine, Women and Wandsworth fame,

The Battle of Epping Forest

Well spotted, Milord.  Your Kudos Point is in the post.

The other names in the write-up that someone might spot are from three sources:
1. St Custard's
2. The Fool and Bladder, and
3. Miller and Notter as the leaders of the Muswell Hill Mob (about three people in London may get this one).

I thought the Muswell Hillbillys (aka The Village Green Preservation Society) were led by the Davies brothers who spend most of their time fighting each other!
