I've always disliked the look of GW's Cadians... so with some help from Mad Robot miniatures, I'm converting my old Cadian's into these guys... Originally, I had the test model painted in Cammo, but the wife suggested they would look better in OD. The intent is for them to roughly look like the FFL from the 60's and 70's... Their lasrifle even looks like an FN-FAL....

Also, I've done this quick conversion on a Sentinel... the legs are from a light walker from DUST....

Very cool, they look far better than Cadians. I like the Sentinel conversion (the Dust line is simply brilliant for huge amounts of kit-bashing). Might I make a suggestion for another Sentinel? I love the look of the weird agent South African vehicles. Look into some Buffel kind of images.

There is a guy on LA here who does card laser-cut Buffels etc. I think they'd fit the look pretty well. Very cool, weird vehicles. I think a Sentinel would look good with some looped roll-bars in place of the fit posts.

Maybe inspired by this kind of look?
I'd love to see more of this project - keep us updated!

Those look good, and the Sentinel mod is definite but subtle. Nicely done. More please.

The face looks great mate.

Lovely, and a serious improvement on both.

Nice work! German armour in the FFL is perhaps more 40s and 50s but it certainly looks the part for 40K! :)

I thought it had the right look... the idea is to go with a light reaction type force rather than the traditional guard theme...

Yeah, if I could find a 1:48 model of an ARL '44 I would convert it for Space Marines...
Here's the most recent update... I finished up these 4 tanks this evening...
First three are for a Medusa

Don't get me wrong, I love what you have done, it's just the FFL used German armour in the 40s and 50s but if you are going for a 60s or 70s themed force, it doesn't quite fit.... but as said, I love it and it certainly fits the "rule of cool" (nothing is cooler than WWII German armour). :)
The new additions look fantastic! Love what you are doing. 8) 8)
And, scurv, the 2nd French tank there looks very fitting for SciFi.... :)

Looking good!
What tank kits are you using?
