Like many others I've been bitten by the Lion Rampant bug.
I've just painted some of the lovely Claymore Castings (http://www.claymorecastings.co.uk/) billmen to use as sergeants in my force.

Basing is waiting for the full force to be finished, so I can aim for something consistent.

Very nice work. Look forward to seeing more.
-
Ooh! Now those are very nice :-*
-
Nice!
-
Fantastic! Stop distracting me from painting something else. >:( Those Claymore castings are lead temptation incarnate.
-
very nice indeed
-
They look the business :)
-
Nice progress. Someone mentioned Claymore Castings to me recently - looks like I'll have to get some.
-
Looking really good! What will the eventual force look like, unit wise?
-
Looking very nice ! Like the snow bases !
-
Nice work.
-
Thanks all.
They are lovely models and paint up very nicely.
The finished force will be a late English one, two units of elite archers, one of sergeants and some foot men at arms.
I've finished the 24 archers, using the old Perry plastic Bretonians from Warhammer 6th edition (apart from the kettle helms they make ideal late English archers - and I can overlook the helmets).

The MAA will be Claymore Castings models.
The bases are currently unfinished as I was planning on doing the whole force at the same time.
But now you've mentioned snow...

Very nice and solid painting work!
-
I absolutely adore your painting style, man, very John Blanche. I'm excited to she what you do with the lovely Claymore sculpts for the MAA.
-
the colors are uncommon but they are great !
-
I was going to say...I really like the colour palette you went with - looks awesome.
-
Te full unit of billmen is now complete (bar the basing) with these six tumbling off the painting table last night.
Just the six MAA to do now.

Nice. :D Cracking figures.
I'm got some of the claymore castings figures to paint in a mad panic before the end if the month. ;D
-
nice, love the colours of those chaps
-
Great job! As others have said, the colour scheme works really well.
-
Very nice! Those Claymore Castings are lovely figures.

Very nice figures! The only thing I would be concerned about is the polearms bending, unless you have replaced the hafts with wire.
Rico.

Quite right, there's nothing worse than a wonky shaft in my experience. :o
I did consider swapping the shafts for steel pins.
And then I remembered I wasn't completely bonkers. lol
I was a bit concerned, but I think they've used some fairly "hard" pewter, so I don't think they'll suffer the same effects as some of my Gripping Beast bowmen.
I'll just have to be careful.
Going to store them in a Really Useful box, which should be gentler on them than in a carry case.

They look great. Love the colours.

Thanks for all the kind words chaps.
You've helped spur me on to finish the MAA. Once again Claymore Castings - lovely models to paint.

Hoping to base the lot of them tomorrow night.

Archers (aged GW Bretonnians, sculpted by the Perrys):

The other unit of archers refused to pose for pictures, so I'll try again later.
I'd also like to try and get a group shot at some point.

Nice! 8) 8) 8)

Very nice. Like the colour scheme - not too over the top.
-
Finally got the other archers to stand still and stay in focus.

Look Great
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy the threads where fellow gamers document their projects. I find quite inspirational :D
I also like the choice of colours.
-
You've really brought these minis to life. Using old GW archers is a brilliant idea.
Excellent stuff.
