Phil & I have decided not to go! Combination of really poor lighting last year and the fact that I'll be skint as I'll just have come home from a holiday. To be honest I've not liked it since it moved to Excel.

I shall be there, don't know who's got claim of me this year yet though...

With regards to the LAF meet, can I suggest announcing it closer to the day and on it's own thread? The reason I wasn't there last year was because I didn't know when or where etc. The SALUTE thread usually ends up being many pages long and people stop reading it, myself included, or the info just gets lost amongst the posts. Putting up a 'SALUTE LAF Meetup' post two weeks before the event is more likely to get a response and catch people's interest rather than doing it now. People will just forget.

Modern.  We are looking at the Salonika Campaign, the German invasion of Greece in 1941 and the communist uprising of 1946 - 49.

Sadly we don't travel back until the day of Salute.

Will be there on stand GG10 with a 28mm VBCW version of the Monmouth Rebellion.

Jimmy Monmouth will be leading a mixed bag of loony Reds and Cornish Nats against the evil Bristol fascists and slightly strange Catholic League of Decency, meeting up in The George at Norton St Phillip for rifle fire at close range.

So I have a ticket, not looking for anything for it - if some wants it to use (not sure how the transferring of tickets would be perceived it does say my name on it) I would be happy to forward the email with the download link.

Not involved with Eureka myself just helping out with the images so best off asking Nic questions.

 Salute 2015

Come and visit us at Salute 2015. Sally 4th will be there as part of the Wargames Illustrated Stand running hands on Terra-Block Workshops.

Project 1 : Terra-Block Science Lab

Project 2: Terra-Block Country House

At our Terra-Block Workshops you will be able to make either a 4 section corner of a Science Lab or a Country House.

All materials including Terra-Blocks and covers are provided free of charge from Sally 4th and Chris (their designer) will guide you through the simple step by step construction.

Sessions are running at the following times.

10:00 - 11:00 Science Lab

12:00 - 13:00 Country House

14:00 - 15:00 Science Lab

16:00 - 17:00 Country House

6 places are available at each workshop. These are allocated on a first come basis and are bookable on the day at the Wargames Illustrated stand.
Free gifts from Sally 4th

As not everyone can get along to Salute, and places at the workshops are limited, we have made available the texture sheets that we will be using as a free download, just click on the links below.

These will work with our standard Terra-Block walls and floors and will allow you to texture 5cm floor tiles, single and corner walls (with or without windows) and doorways.

Had fun today. Met a one or two people from this forum, had a fun participation game of Dashio and spent way more than I could afford.

Been to unwell for salute the previous two years but better now and glad I went.

I have travelled many salute reports and checked the 'official sites'. I can find pics of the Agincourt 3 ups but not the colonial Brits. Missed those on the day :(

Anyone got a link to pics?

I uploaded a bunch of pics on my blog but have yet to write it all up. More pics to follow.......one word of note - never use an iPod for all your picture needs.....next year it's back to my Sony Sureshot. Infuriating. I've deleted a bunch and left a few 'soft focus' ones. Between divorce, moving house and night shifts I really don't stand a chance!  lol

I found the sarissa one but this one was a Nissen Hut which was basically ruined, with only parts of the roof hanging on - a really lovely piece of terrain

I might be wrong & I can't access their site from work, but I think the Nissan hut was by Wargames Tournaments.
