I'm going!
Who else?
I'm trading and putting the usual two games on :)
cheers
James
-
You're keen. lol
I guess I'll be there as well then ;)
-
My fingers are crossed that the great shopping trip across the pond will occur again this year.
-
Sign me up as a helper as usual.
-
Yep - we're back for the Big Day. Trading and participation games as usual. Just debating on whether to give the big Mountain Lair board another outing.
-
Aye.
:)
-
Phil & I have decided not to go! Combination of really poor lighting last year and the fact that I'll be skint as I'll just have come home from a holiday. To be honest I've not liked it since it moved to Excel.
-
Too expensive for a one day show especially travelling from the North o_o
-
Hoping to be there with the Freebooter Miniatures team again.
-
Just bought my tickets...£10 advance and £15 on the day....bit of a no brainer
-
I'll be there again as part of the Newark Irregulars team, this year we are doing Steves lovely Guilford Courthouse game.
-
Already planned a day of leave. Haven't heard of my usual partners in crime yet, but I guess that's just a formality :D
-
I'm assuming we'll have the usual LAF meet? :D
cheers
James
-
won´t make it this year sadly! :'(
-
Sadly can't make it this year. I will be on a Battlefield Tour in Greece.

You really are keen. ;) lol
No, he just wants to know when to have a break to avoid everyone! :P
-
Hardly anyone ever comes to the usual LAF meet!
Come on chaps. Faces to names time. Come and say hello.
Badges to the fore.
:)
-
Not sure if I can make it this year :'(
Need a new job first.
-
Of course we have our BLAM tshirts as well !!
-
Undecided as of yet. :(
-
Not This year :(
April is chock full of stuff to do - end to end and that weekend specifically.
Hoping for 2016 with the added bonus I might have some money to spend as well :D

I shall be there, don't know who's got claim of me this year yet though...
With regards to the LAF meet, can I suggest announcing it closer to the day and on it's own thread? The reason I wasn't there last year was because I didn't know when or where etc. The SALUTE thread usually ends up being many pages long and people stop reading it, myself included, or the info just gets lost amongst the posts. Putting up a 'SALUTE LAF Meetup' post two weeks before the event is more likely to get a response and catch people's interest rather than doing it now. People will just forget.

Potentially, need to see what the locals have planned. Might not be anything I'm interested in ;)

-
Yes! :) :) :)
Accommodation booked. Budget sorted. Bring it on.
Available if required.
-
Sounds interesting. Ancient or modern battlefields? :)
Modern. We are looking at the Salonika Campaign, the German invasion of Greece in 1941 and the communist uprising of 1946 - 49.
Sadly we don't travel back until the day of Salute.
-
With Newark Irregulars at the show; will be investing in a mag-lite so I can see the figures... ;)
-
Two babrians from Bavaria will go to the salute too.
-
Belgian invasion as usual. 21 at last count.

All now sorted, entry ticket, train ticket, Oyster card loaded,SWMBO bought off.. Lead mountain reduced to hillocks over the winter .. Ready for A bit of Jaw Jaw and stock up..looking forward to it..
-
I'll be there, looking forward to it, haven't done anything wargames related in months...
-
Goof grief! I've only just tripped over this thread :o
I'll be there, helping on the most orange table of the show!
All I need to do is sort out some accommodation, as Mrs Bullshott won't be in town this time (hence no excuse foe a long weekend break).
-
Will be there on stand GG10 with a 28mm VBCW version of the Monmouth Rebellion.
Jimmy Monmouth will be leading a mixed bag of loony Reds and Cornish Nats against the evil Bristol fascists and slightly strange Catholic League of Decency, meeting up in The George at Norton St Phillip for rifle fire at close range.

Yes, there is a new Salute shirt every year. Usually the design is linked to the theme banner.

I'll be there again :)

Heading south for the first time in 4 yrs.
Will be helpling out at Scheltrum thru the day and having a good poke around the stands and demos as I have a redundancy payment to blow on lead!! ;D :D ;D
Hope to meet some folk and put (nick)names to faces.
-
I will be there; no particular plans.
-
I was going but now not. It's the youngest 4th birthday the Tuesday after and the little good angel on my shoulder has one out. Still got to splash my cash I had saved online yesterday.
So I have a ticket, not looking for anything for it - if some wants it to use (not sure how the transferring of tickets would be perceived it does say my name on it) I would be happy to forward the email with the download link.
Drop me a PM
-
My Honey wife give to me on my 50th birthday a ticket and reserve plane to visit this FAMOUS SHOW....
I'm really HAPPY to meet many wargamers.... ;)
-
Great Escape Games will be there with the goodies, plus a rather large demo game for Iron Cross by the 4Ground stand.
-
Afraid I cant make it, would anyone be willing to pick up Black Scorpions Salute mini for me? I have Bourbon Creams as reward...also this cash thing ;)
-
Im living just outside london this year so just bought me and the misses tickets to go.

Anyone willing to pick up and post a pre-order to Australia? It's a bit of an ask I know, but I thought I'd try, I don't want to miss out.

Not involved with Eureka myself just helping out with the images so best off asking Nic questions.

Salute 2015
Come and visit us at Salute 2015. Sally 4th will be there as part of the Wargames Illustrated Stand running hands on Terra-Block Workshops.
Project 1 : Terra-Block Science Lab
(http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/WebRoot/Namesco/Shops/950003459/MediaGallery/Terra_Blocks/salute_5.jpg)
Project 2: Terra-Block Country House
(http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/WebRoot/Namesco/Shops/950003459/MediaGallery/Terra_Blocks/salute_3.jpg)
At our Terra-Block Workshops you will be able to make either a 4 section corner of a Science Lab or a Country House.
All materials including Terra-Blocks and covers are provided free of charge from Sally 4th and Chris (their designer) will guide you through the simple step by step construction.
Sessions are running at the following times.
10:00 - 11:00 Science Lab
12:00 - 13:00 Country House
14:00 - 15:00 Science Lab
16:00 - 17:00 Country House
6 places are available at each workshop. These are allocated on a first come basis and are bookable on the day at the Wargames Illustrated stand.
Free gifts from Sally 4th
As not everyone can get along to Salute, and places at the workshops are limited, we have made available the texture sheets that we will be using as a free download, just click on the links below.
These will work with our standard Terra-Block walls and floors and will allow you to texture 5cm floor tiles, single and corner walls (with or without windows) and doorways.

-
That better have been a nice curry! :o

Had fun today. Met a one or two people from this forum, had a fun participation game of Dashio and spent way more than I could afford.
Been to unwell for salute the previous two years but better now and glad I went.
-

French knights and infantry for Agincourt. Generic british colonial infantry 1879 - 1885 (ish).
-

They did. There are pics all over the internet! (Including some on ehre I think I've seen... ) Probably on the Perry's own site by now too I'd guess? Try Google :)

I have travelled many salute reports and checked the 'official sites'. I can find pics of the Agincourt 3 ups but not the colonial Brits. Missed those on the day :(
Anyone got a link to pics?

-
Thanks for link, yes I should of used Google ;)
-
I did use Google, couldn't find them!
Thanks Richard, looks like two different boxes them as those are completely different uniforms. Very cool to see.
-
I uploaded a bunch of pics on my blog but have yet to write it all up. More pics to follow.......one word of note - never use an iPod for all your picture needs.....next year it's back to my Sony Sureshot. Infuriating. I've deleted a bunch and left a few 'soft focus' ones. Between divorce, moving house and night shifts I really don't stand a chance! lol
-
Does anyone know who the company was who had the mdf kit of a knackered Nissen Hut? I really want to pick one up but will be darned if I can remember who the heck they were!

-
I found the sarissa one but this one was a Nissen Hut which was basically ruined, with only parts of the roof hanging on - a really lovely piece of terrain
-
Excellent thread! I've been telling myself I'll visit salute for 4 years. I really need to! This year seemed absolutely amazing!
By the way... Should anyone reading this not require his Salute mini... Pm me! ;)
-
I might be wrong & I can't access their site from work, but I think the Nissan hut was by Wargames Tournaments.
