In the 1750s, France and Britain were fighting in Europe. The war was now spreading to North America. British Colonists wanted to take over French land in North America. The British wanted to take over the fur trade in the French held territory.

British soldiers fought against French soldiers and Native Americans. Native Americans joined in the battle against the British because they were afraid the British would take over their land. The war ended in 1759 when British Major General James Wolfe captured Quebec.

In the peace treaty of 1763 the British got most of the French land in North America. Also as a result of the war, the British began taxing the colonists to pay for the war.

Great looking game, I'm just slapping the paint on some figures then I will be able to join in the fun as well. :)

Excellent report as always, Malcolm, it looks like a great game.

Great looking setup. I have one suggestion to make. Let me preface it by saying that I am not a super stickler or wouldn't normally suggest this, but it appears like you (like most of us) care about the little things. :)
I would suggest loosing the Betsy Ross flag. Even if you have to loose a stand of figures. It's just one of those things that will totally throw you out of the immersion of the game.

Yes we knew it was wrong! It was a test game with the rules Victorian Steel and we needed to make a brigade up.it was the first stand we took off when they got shot up!
Ten out of ten for observation that man ;)
