I made some new terrain for my Crusader project (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=59977.0)
And I made a tutorial while doing them.
Here is a link to the tutorial: http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2015/01/tutoral-desert-hills.html (http://kampgruppe-engel.blogspot.se/2015/01/tutoral-desert-hills.html)

I just came across your thread about your hills.
I like them a lot.
Well done, thanks for sharing.

These are lovely looking hills. How are they for putting figures on top of them?

Cool. I've got plenty of bark so may give this a go for small terrain features. (also using it on my build something contest entry right now)

Started making some a couple of days ago. Thanks for the inspiration. Still need painting and flocking though.

Thanks for sharing this. It's nearly impossible to get high density foam here, so I was surprised and interested to see you using plain old Styrofoam for filler. I'll give it a try myself.

Big thanks for the complements chaps.
Lawful Evil: Please dont use that, it wasn´t that good idea. Next time I will use harder stuff.
It could work if you first cover it with card or paper, something to better spread wieghts and impacts. The thin layer of plaster, sand and wood glue is not enought for too rought handeling.
Beefcake: Thanks, glad to inspire. Please take pictures of the finall pieces later. :)
Pijlie: I tried to get some straight surfaces and hidden stairway steps into the pieces so its no problem.

Thanks for the warning. Looks like I'll have to wait and see if the OZLAM meet can land me some high density foam to try something similar.
