And now for something completely different. From the deranged mind of Don Hauser and the very talented hands of Patrick Keith we have......errr....these 'things'. No name for them yet but we've had 6 made. I'll post more as we go :)

Just the other day I was wondering if anybody made flying baboon sloth-crabs… lol
Those are just wonderfully weird!
-
The scarlet flying lobster-clawed baboon, papio pteronephropsis
-
Fair enough lol
Any more word on the Tengu we saw a while ago?
cheers
James

They must have a devil of a time putting those little vests on!
-
A sort of more weird Doctor Moreau creation.

Very nice. Freaky, but still very nice!
Distinctly lacking in fez though - something no self-respecting flying monkey would go without :D
-
Those are pretty sweet.
-
These are excellent! To me, they're very reminiscent of some old DnD demons and Devils, and would make great encounters fora high-level party. They would also make great mad scientist experiments, for a pulp game.
-
strangely appealing! :)

Very cool miniatures!

Love those. Very different but absolutely unique, which I like.
-
Interesting. No idea why I would need them but I want to need them... lol
-
I shall have to get these at some point. Without a doubt.

They must have a devil of a time putting those little vests on!
I was thinking that and also wondering why they would bother.
-
Yep. The vests are the only thing I dislike about these. Without the vests they could fit so many more themes.

That was very well said, and expresses my own feelings exactly.
Although - pitting them against supers usually covers anything, so there's one need already :D

I do like the ones with hands better than the ones with claws. That said, is there any explanation for the clothes? Naked winged baboons might be more useful to me than the ones in clothes.
-
I'm pretty sure the cloths are a callback to the flying monkeys from wizard of oz.
-
I really like these sculpts except for the vests. They make what could be menacing monsters far too comical for me to use unless I was going to play some dark version of Disney's Aladdin.
-
Huh, guess I'm in the minority, because I don't mind the vests, and the one with the lobster claws is by far my favorite of the bunch. It adds to the menacing and fantastical nature of the creatures. Works for me, because I would want them as either demons or a science-experiment-gone-wrong.

They remind me of the Wizard of Oz, only these flying monkeys are actually really scary.
Great job on them!
