Title: Conan: The Ultimate Guide

Conan: The Ultimate Guide to the World's Most Savage Barabarian.

First, I doubt it's the ultimate guide, but while doing some Christmas shopping yesterday I purchased this for myself for a project that I am beginning work on. The book is put out by DK Books in the UK. If you are familiar with them you know that their books are light on substance and heavy on flash.

It is filled with bits of art from the comics, novels, Frazetta, etc. And each section deals with a certain period of Conan's life. I have not read it yet, but it looks like a nice overview of the characters and places that RE Howard created.

Now, why mention this book? Because here in the US at the Borders books store, I got it for just $10. To get an oversized hardcover, 160 page book for that price is great. Just thought I would mention it here.

I saw the same book at Barnes and Nobles over the weekend. It was substantially more than $10.00.

I like the DK books. They are fun to look at and usually have some good information in them.
