I approve

We need a figure in the shot to get a sense of the scale...
-
I've got a similar pagoda to the one shown, the doorway is around 20mm high if that helps you.

Yes, I thought of that after I'd posted the pics. Will get onto it...probably tomorrow. But Etranger is right...the door is about 2cm high, the total height about 12cm...a bit on the small side but okay for a shrine.

Those dragons are cool...any links or manufacturer details

I got them from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Balinese-Aquarium-Decoration-Ornament-3125/dp/B00954Y3H8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422008557&sr=8-1&keywords=balinese+dragons). The price seems to go up and down a bit as aquarium decorations are frequently discounted.

I can just see these at home in a fully oriental style game board. All lush plants and rock garden features. Very nice indeed.

Now that would be cool. Many representations too....
-
The houses and buildings would be perfect scale for 15mm pulp ;)
-
Picked up a few more pieces, one for Darkest Africa/Lost World scenarios and a couple more for the Country Manor Chinese Garden/Tong games (more on the blog (http://ihavewroughtmysimpleplan.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/and-yet-more-aquarium-decorations-for.html))...

They work well :)
-
They look very nice, and what a timesaver. They do seem a bit small, however. More like 20mm than 28mm. Really only an issue for the buildings.
-
picked up some of those dragons myself thank you...also managed to bag this on ebay for 99p
+ £3 postage

You're right. The way I'm getting around that is the oriental buildings are part of an oriental garden in a stately home...recently become home to the Inscrutable One, leader of the Black Dragon Tong...and so everything is in miniature!

I saw you'd picked up some of the dragons amongst other things. I also have one of those tunnel mouths...though it cost me £7 or £8 if I remember right...perfect Lost World scenery. I was even more impressed with your Victorian Balloon...that will look fab for IHMN games!!
-
Cheers wulgar it was a bit of a bargain.... :D

Regarding the young lady with dagger in front of Skull Mountain: :-*
Which manufacturer makes that miniature?

I believe its a Northstar Evil Priestess from their fantasy worlds range. They're pretty expensive for Northstar but clearly beautiful and unusual miniatures.
She's available from:

I was thinking the same thing, and bit my tongue. Those of who revere the name of Major General Tremorden Rederring have no compunctions of scale getting in the way of table efficiency!
Of course, that was before I saw your explanation, and 'yeah, that works.' ;)
Handsome beasts. I recently picked up some resin Foo Dogs/Temple Lions at a martial art store. Much more expensive, heavy to transport, but think they'll stand up well. Most of the aquarium stuff is built with 'it'll be safe in water' in mind.
Though, again on second thought, at the price differences, you can carry several spares if replacements are needed. lol

Whatever would we do without aquarium decorations !? The foundation of many fine collections of wargaming scenery.
