Title: Updating old boards
Post by: gamer Mac on February 07, 2015, 03:16:47 PM
My brother and I have been updating my old terrain boards.
We are also encasing them in wood to protect them a bit better. The wood also raises the old white polystyrine up to the thickness of our newer, thicker foam boards that were used for the pirate table.

At the moment we are only doing four 2'x2'.
We have used 5mm MDF  on the sides and they are based on hardboard, 3mm?
We intend at have
1) road board - done
2) River board - done
3) road corner - 1/2 done
4) River with road crossing

We've just added gloss varnish here to act as the water in the river. I was also playing around with some of the newer boring bits of trees and stuff we've built for this and took some pics...

Looking great!

Quick question how did you manage to hide the top of the side struts?

Hope all is well
