i also own, from years, many of those unpainted Dixon Légionaires and Marsouins..
In fact i would like to paint them in Blue..(as you did) and in all white uniform...and made them available also for Tonkin eventual scenarios..may i ask you your opinion on uniform depiction:
the rank and file, with those blankets over body and tunic instaed of shirts, could they also be painted, in your opinion, in white?
and..is there a real difference , talking about the design of those minis, between Légionaires and Marsouins?

Post by: craig2 on February 09, 2015, 12:16:07 PM: The Legionnaries wore exactly the same gear in Tonkin (only in the warm season).
For the minis, the french uniform was similar for all the colonial troops, but changed in color (and not always, as Legionnaries were the Marsouins suit in Madagascar...

Yeah ! They match perfectly with the Foundry ones. Only the Amazons are quite little, but they are women, so...It's not a problem.
