The Masai and the Amazonians make for a very Haggard style setting. :)

Such an under-appreciated comic, along with Stardust the Super Wizard.  High weirdness from the early days of the industry, rivaled only by Basil Wolverton's Spacehawk.  Just don't get this kind of insane creativity out of today's books - although I have to admit Saga is close.
