Title: Taking pictures
Post by: bolislaw on 18 December 2006, 02:41:21 PM
Ok, I am by no means as good as most of you here at painting, but the pic I used in my name does not give me any justice either... Although you cannot see it, the pilot has red piping and other details obscurred by the bad, ummmm horrible pic....

So now the million dollar question...

What settings and set up should I use to take pics of my figs? Background, distance, zoom, etc...

I have an Olympus stylus 6mp with all of the bells and whistles....
Any hints or suggestions would be most appreciated!!!

txs,
d

1. Turn on "Macro" mode.

2. Flood the area with light.

3. No, more light.

4. And not the overhead florescent, either.

5. Turn off flash.

6. Take pic.

7. Adjust color in photoshop.

8. Wipe hands on pants.

9. Read this: http://www.twfigurines.de/main/workshop/photos.htm
