These are great!

I love the way you've used the Buddah Statues. They fit in really well.

All it needs now is a Pagoda, a few Richshaws and some tentacles  :D

But my must for any Asian city would be: The market place!
with lots of shops and street vendors, selling all colourful available spices and other goods. My dream or nightmare. Plus scribes to read and write for the public!

Great work (as always  ;) )....the garden is indeed lovely with all the little details !

What about some sort of rice-fields  (of course I haven´t any idea how to do it...)?

Or a kind of temple for some obscure eastern falun-gong-like sect (with dragon sculpture right near the door) ?

Waiting for it...

Will this lovely village have a point of cultural friction such as an evil western opium sales house or a Christian missionary compound?

I think, what's REALLY stunning 'bout the dragon, is the way you captured the light in the scales. I'm striving hard to acquire the technique of applying the last highlight only to certain areas (I often end up highlighting far too large areas).

You pulpy asia town is excellent, and of course a lot better than the actual ones.

You need to add some ripped over posters, from the opposition and more street shops, bicyclists -if you can make something.

I found the following link, with a diorama from the AustroHungarians in Peking /boxers war, it is in 1/72 but you might find something to inspire you a little.

http://www.diorama-dreamland.at/

Also here is a link to irregular miniatures, who has some monks, so you can enrich your collection:

they are items No RR9 in their "Religious & Rabble" range.
