Truly beautiful and awe inspiring! :-*
Lovely interiors too, a true masterpiece.
-
These are great!
I love the way you've used the Buddah Statues. They fit in really well.
All it needs now is a Pagoda, a few Richshaws and some tentacles :D
-
Excellent work Grimm. :-* Up to your usual standard. 8)
-
Maybe build a "house of red lanterns" or something where the less honest parts of society do their work... :D
-
Very cool. I think the town needs a laundrette or a town hall.
-
A Kung-Fu school! With training yard. ;)
-
Very nice! I like the koi in the garden pools.
-
Beautiful work Grimm!
Are the building scratch-built? If not, which manufacturer are they from?
-
A Kung-Fu school! With training yard. ;)

this is a very good idea. There is also a request for "red lantern girls" at 100 CLUB of Eureka.

But my must for any Asian city would be: The market place!
with lots of shops and street vendors, selling all colourful available spices and other goods. My dream or nightmare. Plus scribes to read and write for the public!
-
Very nice, I like all the extra little details. :)
-
Great stuff. 8)
-
Very nice terrain, Grimm! Love all the small details ...
You just need to build "Matakishi's Teahouse"! 8) :D

-
Great work (as always ;) )....the garden is indeed lovely with all the little details !
What about some sort of rice-fields (of course I haven´t any idea how to do it...)?
Or a kind of temple for some obscure eastern falun-gong-like sect (with dragon sculpture right near the door) ?
Waiting for it...
greets
Opa

Wow. Is there a tutorial available for some of your excellent building techniques? I'm inspired! The koi-pond is especially intriguing!
Thomas.
-
A Koi pond! :o
Grimm, you ARE the happy Buddah of terrain making! :)
Will this lovely village have a point of cultural friction such as an evil western opium sales house or a Christian missionary compound?
-
Great work Grimm, this will be part of the Tactica game?
-
Great work Grimm. Well done indeed. Super ideas, well thought out and masterly execution. Where did you get the poster on the front wall?
-
I think I'll have to go sit in a dark corner, staring at the wall....
-
In the meantime on TMP there is a topic called
"Kung Fu tea house watch the progress"
Might of some interest:

Will you please stop posting pictures of such beautiful mini's... you're going to drive us all to suicide with envy!
The black dragon is awesome.

Hey Ray Rivers
you all can paint like that it is only a question of time and I will push you all to the limit :)
Grimm

looks good Grimm. I realy like this dragon :)
-
you all can paint like that it is only a question of time and I will push you all to the limit :)
Between you and Capt. Blood I fell like my stuff gets run-over by a truck and left in the dust.
:o
You are indeed an inspiration. ;)

I second everything. Lovely creatures you have
-
Excellent. 8)
-
:o Fantastic as usual, Grimm!!!
Chuck
-
Awesome, love that dragon :)
-
I think, what's REALLY stunning 'bout the dragon, is the way you captured the light in the scales. I'm striving hard to acquire the technique of applying the last highlight only to certain areas (I often end up highlighting far too large areas).
-
Hey, I think I have one of those dragons! An old Tom Meir sculpt isn't it? Lovely. (Not mine, I painted it about twenty years ago, and it looks bloody awful.)
Great work as usual Grimm! :)
-
:-*
-
Beautiful!
-
Grimm outstanding work!!!!
I love the dragon's colors!
I love the town and the work you did with it!
I think I'm full of 'envy'!!! there is alot of your work I enjoy!!! very creative! very colorful!

Grimm
You pulpy asia town is excellent, and of course a lot better than the actual ones.
You need to add some ripped over posters, from the opposition and more street shops, bicyclists -if you can make something.
I found the following link, with a diorama from the AustroHungarians in Peking /boxers war, it is in 1/72 but you might find something to inspire you a little.
http://www.diorama-dreamland.at/
Also here is a link to irregular miniatures, who has some monks, so you can enrich your collection:
http://www.irregularminiatures.co.uk/
they are items No RR9 in their "Religious & Rabble" range.
-
Very nice as usual Grimm!
-
Beautiful work Grimm! I wish I could do a Pulpy adventure with you and your gaming group! ;)
-
Grimm, awesome work! These Graven Steve buildings you speak of... are they the 25mm Vietnamese buildings that Steve has never gotten around to posting any pics of?
