Title: Sons of Liberty
Post by: flags_of_war on February 12, 2015, 10:59:24 PM
Anyone watch this short series?

Ive just finished the 2nd Ep of the 3. I would need to read more on the facts behind some of it but you would think they would know to use the 1707 Union flag and not the 1801 variant  lol

I'm watching it while I paint terrain. It's not inspiring after the first 45 minutes. You guys aren't helping.

Maybe this is just the three episode prequel to Sons of Anarchy?

Are the English the baddies ?  ;)

I started to watch historical movies from the entertaing point of view and I try to keep in mind that it is made for the audience in general and not wargamer or history enthusiasts. That helps a little bit ! And sometimes I am surprised.

I just watched the trailer and it is with Paul Revere... the Penobscot Bay blunder in a very heroic role. Cool.  :)

It's terrible. Any resemblance to history is purely coincidental.

If you thought the British field pieces in "The Patriot" were silly... Just wait until you get a load of the monstrosities the British army is using at Bunker Hill in THIS film!  LOL

I quite enjoyed Turn. It's not fast, but rather well done on the whole.

It's on here on SBS. From the promos it's been pretty easy to avoid. Looks like utter tripe
