Title: GASLIGHT at Winter War in Champaign, IL
Post by: mysteriousbill on March 02, 2015, 04:07:24 AM
I ran my usual GASLIGHT battle at Winter War this year.

This time the scenario was the Union had to retake or destroy a giant landship that they abandoned, due to a massive breakdown of many of its systems (landships are not even as reliable as WWI tanks). The landship was abandoned during a Union advance. Then the Confederates counter-attacked, and drove the Union back. Lacking the industrial resources to build such a giant landship, they desperately needed to recover it. If they had it running the course of the War, in that front, could be changed.

I was so looking forward to Winter War, but fell ill and was sick the entire weekend. It looked like a rousing good time.

Sounds like you had my good friend Hobie rolling sustains...  lol

"(let's hear it for Mott's applesauce containers)"

Have you looked at them recently? They HAD to put logos on opposite sides. If you have spares waiting use, as I do, treat 'em as gold.

"A hit, a penetration, a roll of 1 on the Penetration Table (making it a catastrophic hit) followed by an 18 on the catastrophic hit table (Vehicle explodes killing everyone inside). You rarely see that result in GASLIGHT."

And yet, you see it twice in your AAR.

They do seem to come in groups...  lol

Ripping, sir, ripping!
