Hello! Just wanted to give you a heads up about a new terrain range - coming this April, a Dark City range of 28-35mm buildings and accessories will be introduced by Multiverse Gaming. The idea is to have a range with distinct neo-noir/'dark deco' feel, with monumental art deco supports, gargoyles, dark alleyways and plenty of rooftop scatter terrain... yes, we love Batman aesthetic, why do you ask? :)
Below you can find the pictures of two first accessories from the range - a gargoyle and an atlas support. More previews coming soon both here and on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Multiverse-Gaming/562880293822396?ref=bookmarks), stay tuned!

That Atlas is fantastic, it'd be right at home in Metropolis.
-
Some of those 15mm buildings would be great in 28/30mm.
-
@Lawful Evil: Thanks, glad you like him! :)
@Elk101: Which ones do you have in mind? There are plans to make the 28-30 version of our 15mm apartment block (https://www.facebook.com/562880293822396/photos/a.658543934256031.1073741836.562880293822396/666158113494613/?type=3&theater) part of the Dark City range.

Those are the ones. :)

Damn, I was hoping for a range based on the actual Dark City movie... Oh well, Neo-Noir and dark deco is good enough :D
-
I read about these on the blogpost (if yours) and commented on there too, but these do look great and will go well with my loner island diorama/game board that I am doing. I look forward to seeing more of these.
-
@Cherno: Haha, thanks :)
@matthias-mouse: glad you like them, could you tell me more about the loner island diorama/board?
-
Ok the idea behind it is a lone wizard who is a bit mad and much a loner has gone off into the wilderness (was mainly for warhammer fantasy) to live on his own with a small garrison of men he can call upon if needed.
He has come across a small island just off the coast and decided to make his home there.
The island will be thin at the bottom and wider at the top as a sign of erosion but instead of moving, he pumps magic through conduits to keep it steady, this is where the Eagle heads would come in handy, they would be at four locations around the island edge and resemble the conduits. Plus one at the top of his tower Haha.
A bit different but something I've always wanted to do...

Cool idea, it reminds me of the old WFRP "Castle Drachenfels" cover:

-
Oooo not seen that before. Nice inspiration though :Do thanks :P
-
Glad you like it :)
Meanwhile, here's another preview from the range - a test assembly of pieces from our modular aircon ducts set:
(had to delete the photo, will upload a new version soon)
-
I like those duct pieces, any chance you are including skylights in the 28mm range?
-
@robh: they were not planned in the first batch of models, but it's certainly an idea we'd like to entertain, thanks for a suggestion!

Here are the contents of our modular aircon ducts set:

You can use the modular aircon ducts as a scatter terrain, providing cover for your miniatures during rooftop firefights...

...or place them at the side of a building, where they can work as a vantage point for your minis!

Please let me know what you think!
-
They look great :D I could just see my necromunda gangs scrambling their way over these in a rush to ambush an enemy gang lol
-
I like it!
I am looking forward to seeing what you make next.
-
@meatpuppet7: Thanks, glad you like it :)
Here's another preview - art deco street lamps from our street furniture set:

Those are nice and very useful in many genres

How about traffic lights? I'd love a half-dozen of those.
-
@fairoaks024: Thank you!
@Hat Guy: there are plans for some retro-style traffic lights - something along the lines of the photo below, but a bit more square-ish:

Here's the first look at the prototype of our Dark City 30 office building. With two pairs of opening doors, accessible interiors, windows overlooking each side of the building, total height of 140.9mm and a footprint of 260x180mm this one is a beast to play on!
It is also a great example of what we aim to achieve with the Dark City 30 range - choosing complex 3D shapes and architectural features that actually increase the playability (like the wall supports here, which are wide enough to provide cover for 28-35mm miniatures) over etched detailing.
Mind you that this is a prototype piece - production version will have slightly different door detailing and some stronger joints on the exterior supports.

Another preview for the Dark City 30 range - a corner apartment building. The final version will have slightly more narrow corner stones and larger detail over the windows, but otherwise the building in the pictures is the same as the one that will go into production. In short: over 21 cm high, 12x12cm footprint, two sets of opening doors and three accessible floors. How do you like it?

A closer look at building details. All of the Dark City 30 buildings have doors that are 30mm wide or larger to accomodate not only the classic 1" bases, but also the lipped 30mm ones used in some of the newer skirmish games.
-
I rather like that.
-
Looks very promising :)
-
I like it.
-
Yep, I need them!
-
This looks promising, we have been wondering what to use with our Knight Models Batman figures :D
-
Where are you based out of Multiverse?
-
Thanks for all the kind words :)
@Johno: we're based in Poland, but we're shipping worldwide.
-
I like that corner apartment building, that's great.
