Since one of the nice things about WWW2 alternate timelines is that what would have historically been prototype concepts in the 1940s can have made it into production models for WWW2.

On a previous thread I posted details of WW2 era Soviet hovercraft :

Another option for WWW2 would be ground effect vehicles. Protpotypes were being worked on in the 1930s in Scandinavia and by the 1960s the Soviets had developed a serious GEV transport boat called the Caspian Sea Monster:

For WWW2 how about small fast attack craft (either hovercraft or GEV) to take on the lumbering German mechs - these would be perfect on frozen lakes or steppe (think of the aerosans used in the Winter War but larger, better armed and possibly even armoured ....
