Finished painting this big fella last night. It's called Giant Gor from Black Orc Game's Hundred Kingdoms range, and I'll be using it to scare the poopy out of my pulp explorers and Darkest Africa Brits. :D

He's a pretty big chunk of lead and more like Mighty Joe Young than King Kong. Peabody filled the seams for me with greenstuff and blended the "fur" so well I can't even see where the seams are! Thanks again Peabody!
I'm just waiting on my Miliput to arrive so I can do up the MDF base the model is sitting on in the picture.

That is very nice! So nice I went to the website to have a look but got an account suspended message. Still, it's great painting and looks very scarey! :-*
-
Thanks Snappy! :D
I think the Hundred Kingdoms stuff is sadly OOP. I got mine as a "loose" figure pack from Left Handed Miniatures but just checked the site and he has no more Gor left.

They also do a 2 pack of Howlers like these fellas: http://cf.geekdo-images.com/images/pic275730.jpg which are currently sitting on my bench primed and awaiting a paint plan.

That is brilliant!

Thank you sir! He was a lot of fun to paint.

Great paint work. Richard

Wow he turned out to be a real stunner!
It was an honour to push a little putty for you B6. Your work always inspires me. :D
-
Thanks buddy! :D I appreciate your help.

Here's a pic of the ape on the more-or-less finished base.

When I affixed the foliage, I made it seem like it was being swept aside as the ape is lumbering through the jungle. ;)

Looks great! :D

Todd that looks great. Now where to find something close to it?

Thanks Jim, and thanks Mila.
Jim, just keep your eyes open on eBay and maybe post something here on the Bazzar.

I have this one from Reaper:

I got it for a pretty good price on Amazon a while back.

That's a good one too Cpt Jake. I had him at one point, but misplaced him hence why I got the Giant Gor. Sculpted by the same guy I think, Jason Weibe.
-
Same sculptor on both the 100 Kingdoms and Reaper figs. They're almost identical size wise too, and with 15mm they make fine Kongs. Good if you want to surprise your Skull Island expedition by having two giant apes.

That's him. Distinctive style to his fur, easy to spot.

Yeah those would be pretty damn intimidating in 15mm for sure!
There's also this big baddie at the bottom of this thread:

There was a member here selling him, but he never replied to my inquiries via PM.

Yes this ape was commissioned by me through Jason Wiebe. I have about 7 left.
Todd, sorry I did not reply. I must have accidently deleted your message.

Thanks Jodee. PM sent. :)

I like that Schleich plastic gorilla. I'll have to look around for one of those. ;)
-
Try Michaels, Toys R Us or Hobby Lobby Mila. All of them carry Schleich products. :D
-
Jodee I also sent you a e-mail.
