Title: Old school waywatcher

Long time lurker... time to post something of mine I guess.

A bit of background.

I painted some minis in my childhood, it was the D&D Red/Blue box era, but I never actually managed to get to a decent level. Later I started working on some sci-fi models (starwars, battle star galactica, macross, ...). Then life happens. Family, work and hadn't time for the hobby anymore but the flame was still burning inside of me.

Recently (and I'm well past 30) I found a box full of minis in the attic, some coming straight from the 90s. So I bought brushes, paints, primers and all and started painting again. The one above is my first mini in years, not spectacular but I'm happy I took the hobby back! I hope to be able to post more work soon!

Well, if that's a figure you're not happy with, I can't wait to see one you're pleased with - that's lovely!

thanks, it looks okay I guess... simply the colors didn't come out the way I pictured in my mind. I need more practice!

I think it's a great PJ, especially since you've had a long break from painting. Great choice of colours ( I didn't care for that mini much, then, but this PJ makes it almost a must have ) and very, very well executed. Hope to see much more of your painting  :).

It looks great.

That you got back to painting is even better. Wish you a lot of fun and hope to see more.

Cheers

thank you guys!

I'm now working on a sci-fi 54mm mini. I'll post it when it is finished (I'm really a slow painter though)
