From time to time club members come up with something of such intricate beauty that kind of blows my mind. This joint project of two of our members is an example of such. The scratchbuilt construction and painting of the greenhouse itself were undertaken by one member and the fellow whose it will be (member jlopatin ) completed the foliage, basing, and wet effects.

Lots more pictures of the finished model here: http://chicagoskirmish.blogspot.com/2015/03/post-apocalyptic-greenhouse_19.html
They also did blog posts covering the painting of the greenhouse…

That is very nicely done.
For many years I used to stay in a house in Cornwall for a few weeks every summer. It had a greenhouse exactly like that :)

Brilliant!
Love those colours and textures and all those details really bring it to life.
:-* :-* :-*

Excellent! Liking all the effects and little touches. That's the kind of thing I'd have trouble with - adding all the bits of rubbish and debris that naturally accumulate around greenhouses, sheds, garages, etc. :)

Nice build and ground work. You two nailed it.
Snitchy sends.

That is a really great build.

Excellent, nice eye for detail.

Sweet looking building.
Love it.

That is stunning! :o
And thank you so much for posting the links to the blogs; I was wondering what the windows had been made of.

Thanks for the high praise folks, but must I remind you all that this is jlopatin's work and that of another club member, not mine.
Neonatcha,
You're very welcome. I'm always happy to drive traffic to our club's blog!
