Hi again,
the Wargods Automatons I have recently painted hooked me up on ancients again.
What terrain can you recommend?
I know of Manor House (great but too expensive) and Monolith designs.
Anything else?

What scale/size? In 15 mm this is very good:

But I think that is not avalilable in their web yet.

Hi, I built a few temples from Hirts Art parts for my Aegyptus.
For the Trojans I have already scetched a temple made from the same moulds using the parts that look the "least egyptian" in style.
Grand Manner also produces some nice stuff for ancients.
cheers Thomas

Pet shops do some nice pieces that work well for the games.I know several people have been using them in games.

Hmm, have to look into that... might be a cheap alternative

I recommend cake columns. The price is difficult to beat and they can easily be turned into all sorts of scenery. I bought some from the following link http://www.cerfdellier.com/pieces-montees/6340-colonnes-grecques-technicake-18-cm-x4.html (http://www.cerfdellier.com/pieces-montees/6340-colonnes-grecques-technicake-18-cm-x4.html). They also have shorter ones (12.5cm).

Scotia/Grendel do some nice ruins.

Made my Roman temple out of 5 inch (12 cm) wedding cake columns, which I purchased at the baking section of Michaels crafts here in the States. They look great painted faux marble. It is just a partial temple, to stand on the edge of the table...

Pet shop stuff looks good, but is usually designed to look like undersea Atlantis ruins, which may or may not be appropriate.
They wouldn't be too difficult to scratchbuild. Like Roman buildings, a Greek house is a basic box, perhaps with a tile roof, which can be represented by corrugated paper.

Thanks folks, I ordered one cheap Aquarium temple ruin.
The wedding cake pillars are a great idea. I should try that too.

Remembered this thread after seeing something a friend of mine got his hands on.
Acheson Creations has a few things that could work well, their Trojan Wall sections and approach. He picked up a few boxes at the store and I got a glimpse of one of them. Sure, they're a bit short, but at the same time, that's more of a playability thing in my opinion.

Grand Manner for me!
