In the near future, my FLGS will be holding a 4 point SAGA tournament so I decided to build a Monty Python themed Norman army. Little did I know when I started that Studio Miniatures would be sculpting these, but it was an enjoyable project. More photos and some details may be found on my blog.

Love the "cavalry"! The Black Knight Hearthguard are amazing! Ah heck, the whole warband is brilliant!
-
Brilliant and fittingly wonderfully absurd given the theme.
-
Absolutely fantastic.
Nice idea, and well painted :)
-
Love them! :-*
-
Priceless! !!
-
Very nicely executed! :-*
I thought of doing some conversions like that for my Bretonnian army at one stage :)
Cheers
Matt.

This is awesome!

Thanks all.
Wonderful stuff. Shields are custom or painted?
They are custom decals that I made, and then over-painted.

Have you seen Studio's new 'Medieval Mayhem' line:

-
I'd like to add; did you take any step by step pics?
If so I think it would be an education to see them?
Darrell.

These are gorgeous !!! :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Next step is to expand your forces for a 24 point LR retinue! :D
-
Brilliant! :o 8) :-*
Now you need an objective marker: a shrubbery.
-
Brilliant, simply brilliant! :-*

Holy Handgranade! I was about to interject with that too!
Darrell.

It's difficult to pick out any one thing that is the most excellent. It is all fantastic! Well don on such a brilliant idea so well executed.
-
I think what's still lacking is the Rabbit of Caerbannog :D.
-
Brilliant! If you haven't seen it, there's a free Holy Grail supplement for Crooked Dice's 7th Voyage:

Further expansions:
Brother Maynard & the Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch
Tim the Enchanter
The Peasants' Anarcho-Syndicalistic Commune
The police...
-
There are some Naffatun figures out there that just need a different head to suit the character, methinks?
-
Lovely work :-* :-* :-*
-
That is brilliant, Sir.
-
The Rabbit doesn't stand a chance!
Fantastic idea and execution!
-
Just fantastic! :o :D
-
These are lovely! I've wanted to convert a set from the Fireforge plastics ever since I first saw them, just haven't had a chance yet. Yours are wonderfully executed, and the Black Knight HG unit in particular stands out as my favorite (although Arthur's Knights are great, too!).
Lots of material for expanding, should you wish to. Dennis's peasants as levy, Brother Maynard as a religious advisor, Sir Robin's Minstrels as a bard, auto-flagellating monks and the plague cart for the baggage train scenario...
Not sure how, but you could always try to work these three (http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/spanish-inquisition-resin) in somehow - no one would expect that!
I think what's still lacking is the Rabbit of Caerbannog :D.
Could be great fatigue markers!
-
Looks superb!
I especially love the black knights, in his/their various "combat stances". Brilliant!
Of course, as someone has already noticed, it appears you are missing a shrubbery, which is apparently important, for some reason, or other.
A killer rabbit, some ducks, and a suspected witch, with a scale might be entertaining too, as would a wooden badger.......
Thanks for sharing.
-
best unique unit I`ve ever seen.
Just brilliant and really funny :)
-
Great concept, wish we could have featured the whole process in the magazine!
-
As everyone is saying, Just fantastic!
-
Thanks again all.
Oh, and there is a shrubbery - 'tis in front of the tall Ni Knight.
-
lol lol
Brilliant!

Really outstanding! Great job. Richard
-
Superb in every detail!!!! :-* :-* :-*
-
:o o_o I can't believe it!
Excellent! lol
-
You Sir, are a genius.
-
Superb work! And I'm working on quite that set, even have some of the characters done from the Fireforge kits ...
-
Aw, what a bad timing:

Looks you'll be able to find some variants for the characters soon-ish ^_^
-
Found this kickstarter. Although you have already created most of these. Its by Studio Miniatures who do the cool modern zombie ranges. Basically a set of Monty Python and the Holy Grail miniatures with some zombies and Knights of Ni thrown in.

As usual my timing is perfect. :?
-
As I said, not that you need it. Your Saga force is awesome. I love the stages of dismemberment of your black knight.
-
Bit weird that kickstarter, with all those Sally 4th laser-cuts as add-ons....
-
It works well for Sally 4th as cross promotion. I had never heard of the company until
I saw it on K S, so I went and checked out their site.
-
Those are amazing!
How do you transport them? A large wooden rabbit?
