This is the Pub from our new range of photo-realistic terrain. A few finishing touches, it needs some window boxes at the front and trapdoors for beer cellar at the back, but hoping to have it available some time tommorow!

Sally 4th website has just been updated with a photo gallery of shots of photorealistic terrain.
The Pub kit has also been completed and is now available, together with optional gardens, yards and a removable first floor for those of you who like your figures lined up with the windows.

(http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/WebRoot/Namesco/Shops/950003459/MediaGallery/Categories/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain_Gallery/28mm_modern_wargames_terrain_5,Medium.jpg)

The first ten gamers who buy a copy of the Pub will get the opportunity to specify a pub sign to get added to the texture sheet for the kit.

Funny you should mention that. I made a bit of a cock-up on my order notes and put down the name of my local pub. I've e-mailed Chris this morning asking him if it's not too late to change it.

I was always a blonger when batting and something of a Cafeteria bowler! Silly mid off was my place in the fielding! I was always better off when I played for the Much-Piddling XI if I was put in the scoring hut with a vat of scrumpy!  ;)

Just heard from Chris I'm number 1 (first time for everything!). I'll be putting this pub together with my Sally 4th warehouse for a game of Pulp Alley ASAP.

The latest addition to our 1930's village is a pair of shops.

Based on a 1930's photograph that I found, these buildings are completely compatible with the terraced houses and the Pub and can be finished in either stone, brick or plaster.

We have just added a set of UK style roads range has been designed to be compatible with our range of photo realistic buildings.

The buildings all come with a 200mm x 300mm base. This base area can be extended to 200mm x 400mm with an optional additional garden or yard area.

Our road sections have been designed to match these base sizes, so you a 200mm is the right size to go in front of a building, a 300mm road section goes along side a building, or 2 x 200mm sections if the buildings base is extended with a garden or additional yard area.

We have provided alleyway sections, which are great for placing between two rows of buildings arranged back to back. These are 50mm deep, so we have designed a 50mm road section to increase the length of roads where alleyways are being used.

All road sections have been designed using Sally 4th's jigsaw road alignment method. This means that each piece has a jigsaw like tab and socket that joins with adjoining pieces to stop your terrain drifting apart mid-game. These joints are hidden away underneath the pavement sections.

Just putting an order in now for the corner shop (even though I've not finished the pub yet, still working on the toilets!) and I might order some roads for Much-Piddling!

Martin,

I am very impressed with your attention to detail. Your village is going to be a marvel to behold. If you are going to want full interiors with staircases and room dividers do let me know as the plan was always to do these if their was a demand. I was planning to get enough shells to cover a 6' x 6' gaming area and then go back and do some interiors, but I could bring them forward if you need them!

Best regards,

Chris

PM sent, I am definitely getting the bug for building Much-Piddling now for Pulp Alley games. I can do a bit of VBCW there as well. I also have a future plan for Home Guard versus U-Boat crew for WWII! I intend to use Pulp Alley rules for the VBCW and WWII so we'll see how this turns out.

I meant to ask as well, what's that white bus in your photo? That looks really good.

Some WIP photographs of our Photo realistic Pub Interior Set.

(http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/WebRoot/Namesco/Shops/950003459/MediaGallery/Categories/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain_Gallery/Pub_Inside_WIP_1.jpg)

This is still very much a work in progress, but we hope to get it finished by the end of the week to show off at Triples.

(http://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/WebRoot/Namesco/Shops/950003459/MediaGallery/Categories/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain/Photorealistic_Wargames_Terrain_Gallery/Pub_Inside_WIP_2.jpg)

We still need to add details like skirting board and door surrounds, mantelpieces for the fireplace and to design the inside of the netty.

We also have a bit more work to do on the coverings set, including upstairs carpets, interior doors, paintings and pub details.

Chris, that is brilliant!  :-* Just what I was looking for. Really looking forward to adding this to my pub. The stairs look great as does that extra room by the back door. Also, I like the idea of the chimney going up through the middle, it gives a nice fire place in the bar area.

Glad you like it Martin, with a chimney in the middle of the roof, fireplace in middle seemed a logical conclusion. I just need to do skirting boards, door surrounds, doors and 1st floor carpets and we are good to go!

It looks stunning. I'm getting my wish list together now, Chris and against my better judgment, this will probably be on it...If it is, I just hope I can do it justice.

I'll be in touch tomorrow (off to the Post office with your box tomorrow, btw).

Great interior Chris!!!  A worthy addition to the range.

Just who makes that splendid mini of a besotted Mad Lord Snapcase sprawled drooling in the corner?

Not that I'd want such a portrait figure, but having a wino huddled in the alley would work too.

Wonderful work all around!!

Hi Valerik, not quite sure which figure you mean. The chap in Mess Dress is from Pulp Figures, other miniatures are from Foundry, Crooked Dice, Blind Beggar, Artizan and Eureka.

I got most of the outside done before my recent Baltic cruise despite being a totally hopeless case when it comes to assembling mdf kits. Once I've got the doors and windows painted and glued on, I'll be ready for the terrors of the interior assembly and decoration.... :D

EDIT: must just add that for such a great building, assembly is pretty straight forward - even for me. I'm looking forward to doing the interior but will need my wife's help on the decorations...

I did get mine finished (not the interior yet, though). Just one, rather blurry photo so far of the pub in situ for a game - in fact hopefully my first Pulp Alley game...

The pub sign just says "Wadworths" - our local brewery. It's a picture of Robin Hood but I don't know what the pub is called. Maybe The Robin Hood?

I probably put the windows on incorrectly; I usually manage to screw-up the simplest of kits.
