I was away at the weekend at Lundin Links in Fife for a 28mm Napoleonic event. It was a large game based on Borodino. Over the 2 days 10 gamers attended from the AB1 group. We used Black Powder with my house rules. I made the Russian infantry Stoic and Poor shots. Stoic means they can reroll their first break test while Poor shots is a -1 to their shooting dice. Given the scale of the game to speed up play we did not use any skirmishers or mixed formations.

5,900 figures ! Blimey, that's a lot of minis!

Could I inquire from where you got the basemat, it looks really good?
-
Wow! Most impressive indeed. Well done.
I am guessing the figure ration was about 20:1 or perhaps 30:1?
-
Bonsoir,
Awesome looking game!
Good piccies too.
Might tempt me to try BP again.
Thanks for sharing.
Cheers,
Paul

Regarding the figure scale infantry units varied in size from 24 to 32 figures and cavalry from 12 to 18 figures.
We counted everything as standard BP units

What size table did you use?
-
The table was 24' long and wider at the 2 ends giving it a sort of S shape.

B&Q. They sell as dust sheets. I bought a pack of 3 large size ones and cut them in half, got enough to cover six 6x4. For about £25. Glued the cut edge to avoid fraying. Laid them out in the garden and lightly sprayed using Halfords car spray.
