The cops.
Just received Commissioner Gordon and Arkham City Robin in the mail, so I'll post an update when they're done :)

Very nice painting, sir, love'em :-*
Is the "Alfred" the one which came with the rulebook?
-

Thanks.
Is it possible to get him seperate as well?
-
Superb work :)
-
I saw a few of these on Facebook, but I don't think I commented on them. I think you've got a great looking set of miniatures here with how you've painted them. Having played a few games myself, you also have a variety of options for playing a Batman or Law crew at quite a few point levels.
I wish I had the ability and time to paint things as nicely as some of the folks on here do. Playing games with minis painted to this level is always a lot of fun.
Looking forward to seeing more of your paint work.
-
Great work, The black is done very effectively
Cheers
-
Thanks guys!
And yeah, Obsidian, I did post these to Arkham City Limits on Facebook, but as that's a private group I thought it'd drum up a bit more interest in the game If I posted them here on LAF too :)
-
Think im no bad painter but i have a bit of respect starting mine...
Those minis are just WOW!!!!!!!!!!
-
Excellent work, very atmospheric painting, very nice handling of the black in particular
Regards
Jim
-
Wonderfully done!!
Really top notch.
-
wheres the cop car from?
-
What an excellent first post, superb work.
-
Great painting, and great models, except for the female Cop who looks like a stripper. Where exactly is she planning on shoving that Nightstick? :? Could we not just have a normal non over sexualised female miniature?
-
We call her stripper cop too. I personally don't have a problem with it, but I can't refute that her shirt could be buttoned up a bit more in the line of duty.
-
Come on guys, don't ruin it for the boob deprived children of the world! Really, this may be the first rack they can gander and touch for time to come! lol
It is the nature of the beast I think....I don't think it would sell if it was some fat dumpy cop or butch looking cop that looks like a bodybuilder with no breasts....
-
My wife gives me funny looks when I'm intricately painting cleavage.
-
Thanks everyone!
Marcus, the car is a die cast car from Ebay. Just search for a 1/43 ford crown Victoria police car. Dozens of them for around 10 GBP/15 USD. I resprayed it and added custom printed decals.
-
And I like to think of Stripper Cop as Callahan from the Police Academy movies lol
-
Thanks god catwoman is not over sexualised........
-
Great first post. Your painting is superb Sir!
-
As a female cop figure, it's way over the top. As a Gotham cop, it somehow fits. We are talking about a corrupt police department here. Let's just hope they don't do a Renee Montoya figure like that.
-
Couldn't resist adding a couple more characters to my crew. Presenting: Gordon and Robin.

-
Fantastic work. Particularly like Gordon's glasses!
Regards
Jim
-
You suck. But only because your painting is so awesome. :o
-
Great stuff; they look excellent. :)
-
About to start my next crew too!
-
First mini from my League of shadows crew. Took a break from painting blue/black cops by painting... blue/black ninjas!

-
Great work on these, its things like the newspaper on the base which really set them into the world of Gotham.
-
As expected, extremely nice work on the black especially
Regards
Jim
-
simplay gorgeous. I have a load of Batman stuff but im trying to keep to my current ECW project. you are not making it easy for me ha
-
Finished my five Ninjas. Just Ra's and his daughters to paint now!
-
These look fantastic! :o
-
Very nice work. How are you doing the newspapers, small printouts?
-
Literally Google image search for Batman and Arkham City newspapers/wanted posters, etc., scale them in a DTP program, and print them really small. Use PVA and glue to moisten them on the backs and then glue to the bases, wrinkling them carefully with tweezers and an old brush. Once happy, let it dry and give it a very light wash of sepia ink. You might find its best to lightly spray varnish the paper first so the ink doesn't run, but often I quite like the rain-soaked look :-)
-
The temptation to only paint four ninjas and paint their belts red, blue, purple and orange was almost overwhelming... lol
-
Those are lovely ninjas!
-
Next up: Talia al Ghul.

-
Painted eyes. How the F*** do people paint eyes on these things?! I've been painting for years and any time I try to do it...just end up with a mess.
Lovely work on Talia. I like the colour variation over the usual 'chick in black leather' look.
-
It tends to take me a couple of tries to get eyes right to be honest - it's one thing having the steady hand and 000 brush, and quite another to get the pupils looking in the same direction!
I also only paint eyes when the eyeball is clearly sculpted on the model. Some figures have really fine detail, with just little slits for eyes, and they aren't actually intended to be painted in. When I was younger I used to mistakenly paint the eyelids of those figures as eyes, making an army of googly eyed monsters lol
-
Nice work on Talia. :)
-
Well, this will probably be my last update for a while, until I get my game board underway at least. I present to you Ra's al Ghul, the final piece in the League of Shadows puzzle.

And here's the obligatory group shot (with slightly dodgy focusing on the back row - apologies!)

-
Stunning. Great blending, especially the cloak
Effective tats too
Regards
Jim
-
Nothing short of amazing
-
Superb work, the blending and colour choice is top notch.
-
Very nice painting. :)
-
Wow. That is an amazing looking crew. I've played a few games with League and they're excellent. Painted like this, they will decimate many opponents because, painted miniatures always play better.
-
A wonderful project and some really wonderful miniatures! :o
-
Outstanding! Richard
-
Thanks everyone. I've revisited the Batman Miniature Game, because the new Arkham Knight Batman model really grabbed my attention! Finished him last night.

Awesome work mate
-
Oh my, that's fantastic! Great job on those dark tones.
-
Great AK Batman, and even a custom base!
;D ;)
Mine is on the painting table too...
(But I kept the Gargoyle!)
-
The AK Batman is a very nice addition well done! :)
I will very probably steal the bricks idea as my bases are all 'street level' so far with no rooftops. :)
-
Amazing work on that Batman :-*
-
Excellent work. I've got a ton of figures built and finally primed and ready for paint. The spot I was struggling was with the various Batman figures. It seemed impossible to get something that would be interesting when the main colours are black and grey or blue and grey. I'll be using this paintjob as inspiration for sure!
