Title: Basic (stupid?) questions about Gripping Beast Vikings
Post by: Verderer on April 10, 2015, 07:26:20 PM
I got interested in the new (for me at least) Viking stuff GB has, but are those Saga sets all metal minis, or mixture of both plastic & metal? It would appear they are metal, but what do I know?

And about those big Viking plastic boxed sets, do they sell individual sprues - I didn't see any on the website? I don't need quite so many thegns etc... ::)

And finally although there are lots of shields available separately, it seems no plastics ones?

I believe the Saga sets are all metal. Don't think they sell sprues individually.

All the SAGA sets I've purchased are all metal.
There are sprue exchanges in the Bazaar of Obscurities. Maybe you could get some single sprues there?

The saga armies are all metal as well as the blisters.
The only plastic shields are on the plastic sprues.

Ok, thanks everybody. I will have a look in the bazar. Have to think about those metal sets, they seem pretty nice.

Yeah, they will all be metal. I used to paint for GB so know most of the ranges very well.

Darrell.

Personally I don't rate the GB range, but YMMV. Take a look at Drabant Miniatures, they do some lovely vikings, available through Old Glory in the UK. Just a thought.  :)
