Lack of a properly white balanced photo for the IMEF prevents my voting.
I try to avoid judging the content and presentation over the execution, but...
That gets mighty tough when one is as over-opinionated as I am.
I doubt any of this year's entries benefited substantially from clean clear camera work.
The reverse however cannot be said.

Hah, I was worrying, if Calimero wouldn't be part of the LPL this year.
I think there is a clear change in technique to former entries, at least from what I remember of LPL6, no?
best wishes

To reply to comments and PM, I haven’t changed my style… I've just made an exception for the LPL ;D
Since these are Bones figures from Reaper, I’ve tried to use the wash technique to bring out the details…
The picture itself is very bad indeed… it looked OK on my laptop but way too "bright" when I look at it on the public library computer. IIRC I’ve taken similar pictures for my first 3 entries… I don’t expect to have too much votes if they all look like this picture… oh well, live and learn… lol

Calimero, I did think your first three teams all looked rather blue... :)
If you wish to send replacement shots for rounds two and three, please do so.
That's not a general invitation to everybody to send replacement shots by the way - but nobody wants to see matches compromised because the pictures have come out badly.

My beastmen look pretty crap too, to be honest. I cant find my camera, so I did them with my phone... lol

Thanks for the offer Captain, that's very kind... LPL is not a photography contest, but good photography skills sure helps getting more votes, and that's all part of the game.
I don't have the figures I posted for rounds 2 and 3 anymore since they were commissioned work...
Anyhow, that's fine with me. Somebody needs to fill those places at the bottom of the result table ;)
Also, I'll send you a PM concerning my entries for rounds 2-3... they might not be "new team" anymore...
Cheers!
P.S. Nice work on those Beastmen, area23 8)

I liked the setting and scenery for BMEF. That was a great touch. I appreciate the effort put into the bases, as well. Good idea, good touch. But the minis don't have very many colors, weathering, etc., on them. They look like a few details on the heads and then base coat with a bit of a wash over them, which is done nicely, but isn't enough for me.
The Beastmen need more contrasting colors and highlighting but I like the bases and I like that different zones were painted different colors. Also, I see some wash and highlighting, at least back to the base color (hard to tell given the lighting in the photo). The shields and the big sword look nice.
