And I'm usually so serious...

Too slick, those.
Now make some underwater terrain for them 8)

And here I was thinking this was about Killer Tomatoes... "pass the ketchup, will ya?" *splotch*
I, for one, welcome our sweet condimental killer robot overlords.

Great idea and well executed, a superb piece of work. where did you source your plastic rods and profiles ?

Simply brilliant!

Thanks gents! Glad you like them.
The plastic rods, tubes, etc. are from Evergreen - awesome stuff and well worth the expense. I get mine at Modelcrafts and Hobbies in Wellington (for those of you in my area)
I use Humbrol liquid poly on the styrene plastic and ordinary cheap and nasty superglue for the beads. I do the majority of my painting with acrylic inks over acrylic house paint bought in test-pots. I have a few nice metallics from a kids' range called DecoArt (Warehouse Stationery if you're in NZ). I own one pot of silver from GW, which is the only 'proper' wargaming acrylic in my collection.
I like to find alternatives to the established methods and materials - hence the plastic beads.
These guys definitely have a look of Cybermen about them, but I honestly didn't realise until I'd finished the first one!
More on the way!
Thanks for all the comments!
