I love that temple!
Beautiful pulp piece. I can see tons of adventures taking place in and around it.
The etherflyer also looks great. It would also make a great sail barge for a pulp sci fi game.
-
The "drill" is really cool, the ground on the drill bit and the ladder adds much "life" to the model.
-
Thanks for sharing. Great Stuff!!!!! :D
-
The Temple is fantastic !!!!!!!!

Wow!!! The submarine is better than the original from flagshipgames!! Really impressive!!
-
beautiful stuff, love the temple
-
Hey thanks,
yes I built the sub when I saw the flagship version, I think I found the flagship one to expensive, and building it yourself is better anyhow. I really like ships, don't know why...maybe I should have become a sailor. I built quite a lot ships, right now I am working on another sub that is a bit less "fantasy"
The trees on the temple were a pain in the a...cause I had to scratch build them all. I find it hard to get good looking trees in 28mm scale, that don't cost you an arm. You might have noticed a few other trees I built in the background...a little bit like gumtrees, but hey I am in Down Under, that's what trees look like around here ;-)
-
darquebus,
Where are you down under?
I'm in Murray Bridge,South Australia.
Cheers,
Barry

Hi Barry,
I am in Melbourne...so quite a drive away. Could it be that we have met before on the web (ebay?)
D.
-
Quite possibly. I've both sent and bought a few things from Melbourne....

Everything was built from plastic card and the temple is high density styro foam
The drill was a bit tricky thats why the actual drill peace is a little bent, but hey ...it just travelled through kilometers of rock (there is a plastic coffee cup in there somewhere
cheers

The answer how to make water...
hm..that is very ancient secret Australian knowledge (you might now we have a severe drought here)
But if you don't tell anybody else I will tell you how simple that was
I will post a picture maybe tomorrow...but here is the trick (dramatic orchestral music)
I found a piece of cloth that had this nice blue wave structure you can see in the picture. Covered the table and put a transparent plastic table cloth on top. The wrinkles in the plastic make a nice wave effect. Then I put MDF pieces (roughly 40x40cm) that are flocked with grass an sanded on the edges on top...and tada!
great water, great beaches! An by leaving gaps between the MDF pieces I can create rivers, islands etc...pics will follow tomorrow
the best thing is the MDF is around 1cm thick so the rivers and water is "lower" than the land. I don't like to put rivers on top of the table.
And as a side effect the cloth prevents scratches on the table...
Hope you understood this ancient technique

Hope you understood this ancient technique
I am intrigued an horrified by this technique! Sorcerer! I am sure you have found it in that blasfemous Necronomicon...
-
Those are amazing! I now have something to aspire to.
I plan on stealing your water tequnique too. Simple but inspired!
-
AWESOME work!
That Flyer is amazing ( and the Drill and the Submarine and Temple......).
I'll get my mate Fritzy to have a look at these for inspiration for his VSF stuff!
Thanks for sharing.

Awesome.
I would vote for the drill too, but then I have just finished reading "Operation Typhoon Shore" (the sequel to "Operation Red Jericho").
Aimed at teenagers I realise, but has some gaming potential.
